" Good Evening ", mam!
My eyes gasped up at the sweet voice. A face peeping through the lifted curtain waiting for some response. Our eyes met and with warm greetings, he entered in the room. Somewhere same gesture rushed into the memory.
What! Again! Noooo!
Two years back, sitting in my one bed room penthouse or matchbox compartment , as usual talking to the clouds who were hanging out through the windows. The door was opened but curtains were blocking the entrance. Suddenly a knock and " Good evening ",
With a jerk , from my personal conversation, I looked towards the voice modulating, waiting for the response.
An innocent face peeping through the lifted curtain. A fair complexion, light brownie blueis eyes ,fluffy hair ,perplexed emotions. A smile on his face ☺️. A prince attire entered my room .
I welcomed him.
He entered, standing quietly looking around 👀. I tried to make him feel comfortable. He was in his early twenties or at the stage of forbidding his teens. He was there to collect help from a teacher for his exams. Yes! He was in a teacher's home. In India, many things happen. Just to minimize his age which could be suitable for his actions, he had to give his boards again. Least interested in studies, came for help just to qualify the hurdle race. His accent was simple, harmless. He looked innocent, and nervous. As a teacher, I took him as guinea.
So very honestly, I tried to help him in his studies. Made small notes, tricks to help him. I went out of the situations to make comfortable with his lessons. I even wrote his notes, assignments for the sake of his career. After all, a student undergoes a lots of pressure from his parents, teachers, his own dreams or something from surroundings.
He expressed many things. As a good listener, without being so judgmental, tried to give suggestions for his betterment.
Slowly, he became a bit familiar, just like a my own son. But " all that glitters may not be gold "!
As days passed, his disclosure shown me some hidden aspects. Sometimes it may happens that you need some unknown person who can listen and give views without being judgmental. He was very passionate about his love towards the famous sport # THE CRICKET #.
He wanted his excel in that field which is very difficult as many stars exploring to be a sun.
In India, many things can be done ironically or illegally to fulfill anyone's goal. As a teacher, tried to make out the matter in light and gave suggestions.
Living in a penthouse with my only son, always appreciated his coming.
I worked hard but found him a scattered lad . I never took him a game planner.
But youngsters are becoming so junkie, no morals , with such a guts to manipulate the whole world.
One thing I noticed that he had least interest in his studies.
I thought, he is too young for handling pressure, so keeping him cool and calm, I always tried to make out things for him.
I being a human, always tried to contact, giving him suggestions, making topics ,questions, answers for every queries that would be unhealthy.
I couldn't find his true colors behind the face. We can't judge anyone but always believe in the words, emotions produced infront. Every one can't afford to plot and play. That very cunning mind existence, very rare in a simple honest person like a teacher that is myself.
He started coming, not regularly, but with lots of efforts 😄. Slowly, his interest in cricket, sports, brought influential impact on my son in the house. So they both were on same page, discussing, playing....
I didn't mind till the things are under control. Parents are fine when their ward is progressing under the correct guidance. His family knew that he is least interested in studies but just for social acceptance, books were in his life.
A student is so much culprit, no one can understand that... but all joins hands to uplift such culprits blaming the situation or the surroundings.
He pretended to be quite a good , sentimental lad. On his birthday 🎂, he was upset because his brother was not with him that year.
Just to enhance him, I provoked for treat. He agreed. That evening, dinner was for us. I felt surprised though ...
We enjoyed the dine and thanked him .
I, even teased his brother for such warm closure.
Actually, his big brother is alpha factor and was a close figure in past times.
But you know what nice times can't be uploaded whenever wished.
Days were running smoothly .
He loved items made in with paneer, cheese. Whenever I tried something with cottage paneer, I loved to share with him. My affections were beckoning, no idea.
My room was at the top of old tall building. So whatever happens underneath, top ones can't count but if a cat walks upstairs, whole building gets affected. Strange. All these things were taking right underneath. As usual, unaware, being very lost in the simple things. Teachers always consider their students humble, generous and as simple as possible. But they can bully or play games and ruin the emotions and sentiments even life of the teachers.
Mark my words " They are too smart to handle ".
Anyways, I didn't think that way or took as pure as vegetarian stuff. I was impressed with his gesture when came in with stuffs on his birthday. He started coming close to my son as both were on same strings twinning the balls.
Slowly as days started revolving due to contraction of sun's path, many festivals came rolling in and out.
His big bro made Diwali special entrance with his friend and younger sibling. We planned many things and kept in cool shadows.
Soon big bro flew off to persue his studies. The younger brother was left behind, dealing with his shortcomings.
His punctuality decreased due to lack of interest in his studies. I tried to encourage but lazy ones can't get over it. According to me, his family members also supported him for his lacking.
Sometimes, we used to spend chatting online. But youngsters are specific teenagers who are only interested in making relationships. Top of it , parents also support them . Parents couldn't find any other option but give them full freedom to access open relationships.
Those who have problems are blocked in their life. Blindly the boy planned a game against the person who was a human before being a teacher.
It is said that whatever you do good for a student, he or she will make fun out of you and extract the lemon such that skin is as white as thread.
