Kyle Murphy. A weapons dealer and apparently he was Cormac's new best friend. He had told her that morning that he and Kyle were going to make a deal for weapons, a deal that would make him a lot of money. That's why she had spent time making sure her hair was perfect and picked out a dress that she she knew Cormac loved on her.
When Caitlin descended the stairs Cormac and Kyle were stood at the bottom of the stairs, both sets of eyes watching her decent down the stairs.
"And who is this?" Kyle asked, his eyes raking over her body as Caitlin came to stand in front of him. Cormac wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her into his side.
"This is Caitlin. She's my girl. Isn't that right my love?"
"All yours Cor" she smiled up at him earning a soft kiss in response.
"Well, it's nice to meet the only person that has Cormac wrapped around their finger" Kyle smiled.
"I'd better be the only one or else someone is going to be catching a bullet" she teased with a sinister smirk.
"Of course, my love. Let's go on through into the dining room" Caitlin led the way, both men following behind her. Kyle took the seat opposite Caitlin whilst Cormac pulled out a chair for her to sit in before he took his place at the head of the table.
"So, I hear you want to make me a very rich man" Cormac began.
"As long as you arm me, I'll give you a decent price for it all. Unless you want to throw in the woman too?" he smirked.
"I'm not for sale" she shot back, feeling Cormac take her hand in his "And my big guy keep me very satisfied"
"You always let her talk to business partners like that?"
"Yes I do. Believe me, her mouth is worth it" Cormac smirked at her, earning one back.
"Let's make this deal" Kyle announced, breaking the pair out of their joint trance.
An hour later Cormac and Kyle had made a deal and they had all finished eating the meal that Cormac's private chef had prepared. Caitlin had excused herself to the bathroom, leaving the two men to talk. She checked her lipstick in the mirror before she left the bathroom, she made it almost to the top of the stairs when she bumped into Kyle. She didn't have time to utter a word before he had her against the wall, his body caging in hers.
"Hey beautiful" he smirked down at her. She was cornered. No where to run, no where to hide. She was stuck under him with no escape. Her lungs tightened as she forced herself to breathe despite the pain, despite her fear. His hands were on her waist, his lips were on her neck, she tried to push him away, she tried to get out from under him but there was no escape. Then his body was gone from hers. Cormac had the devil himself in his eyes.
"What did he do to you?" he demanded, his fists still holding Kyle against the wall as his eyes were glued to Caitlin's.
"He was touching me" he looked into her eyes finding so much more than what she said.
"No one touches my girl" he bit, pulling the gun out of the back of his jeans, pointing the gun at his forehead he didn't hesitate to pull the trigger. His blood coated the wall behind him before Cormac let go of his body, letting the lifeless form drop to the ground. He pulled Caitlin into his chest, holding her tightly.
"Paddy!" the man appeared seconds later, taking in the sight of the lifeless body "Clean it up" he ordered before he tried to pull Caitlin away but her eyes were still glued to the bloodied body "Come on Caity" she finally took her eyes off of the body, her teary ones meeting his soft ones. He lifted her into his arms before he carried her to his room, lying her on the bed he went to move when she caught his arm.
"Please stay" she begged, her now tear stained cheeks shining in the light from the bedside lamp.
"Always my love" he rounded the bed, slipping off his shoes and placing the gun on the table before he climbed in behind her. Caitlin rolled over and lay her head over his heart as she buried her nose in his chest.
"I'm sorry" she muttered, her shaky voice muffling her words.
"He shouldn't have touched you. No one touches my girl" he pulled her in as close to his chest as he could get her "No will touch you again, my love" he assured her.
"No one but you"
"No one but me" he repeated, the room falling silent again.
She wasn't afraid of him or his touch. In his own messed up way, he saved her, he protected her. And for that, she will always be grateful.

When Caitlin awoke that morning Cormac was already gone, but in his place lay a bouquet of roses from his garden. Caitlin pulled on her robe before she headed into the dining room where Cormac was already dressed reading a newspaper.
"Good morning" he smiled as he looked up from the paper in his hands.
"How did you know I was here?" she smiled as she closed the space between them and climbed up onto his lap.
"I can always feel you when you're near" he smiled up at her before he connected their lips.
"This is all mine" she sighed happily, her eyes rolling shut as she lay her head on his shoulder.
"What is?"
"The dangerous side of you is theirs but, this side of you, the side that will always keep me safe is mine"
"Whatever I'm capable of is yours. Always. My love" he pressed a kiss to her neck "You make me feel so much, Caity. So fucking much all the time. I'm scared of fucking this up. I'm scared to lose you" he admitted.
"You won't lose me" she promised against his neck as the guilt washed through her.
"I'll make sure that I won't lose you" he took her face in his hands, studying her face for a minute before he brought their lips together.
"Good morning!" Liam and Connor smiled widely from the doorway.
"Good morning. Don't you both look handsome" Caitlin smiled.
"Why are you still in your pyjamas Caity?" Connor laughed.
"I'm very tired" she watched as the boys joined them at the table.
"I think that Caity should get dressed so that we can go do something fun, how does that sound?" Cor smiled at them all as the boys cheered.
"Where are we going?" she smiled down at him.
"How does the beach sound?"
"That sounds perfect" she smiled, placing a small kiss to his lips before she headed back off upstairs to change.
Caitlin changed and they headed to the beach. Cor and Caitlin sat on a blanket on the sand as the boys ran about the beach and the water.
"You look so beautiful" Cormac smiled.
"You don't look so bad yourself" she smiled, pulling herself into her lap she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him deeply.
"Caity, come in the water with us!" Liam called her from the water. Caitlin looked down at Cormac and pulled her dress up and over her head revealing the bikini she had hidden underneath.
"I'm coming. Are you?" she teased, kissing the tip of his nose before she ran off down the beach towards the boys.
