Alaric's POV

I was roaming and wandering like a lonely cloud. Thinking about who could that person be. With each passing day, I yearned for someone to come and illuminate this desolate realm. When my father took the life of my mother, she cursed him and wished for someone from his own powerful vampire army to destroy him. I don't really believe in heaven or hell, not in gods or goddesses. But mother did, she used to tell me; In the last moments of your life, if you deeply desire for something, a kind-hearted God will grant you your wish.

According to ancient books, there was a specific person who had the ability to bring light to Blath and restore its once-vibrant existence. I often wondered what this place would be called once such a transformation occurred, as the name Blath and the presence of lush greenery seemed incompatible.

My deepest secret would perish with my father. I was determined to avenge my mother and be with Alora without any obstacles.

I understand that I am responsible for her father's death, but I was only 15 years old and under the manipulative influence of my father.

Alora's father, Alex, was a vampire turned by my father's hands. Alora didn't know that, she thinks that the person who brought her up is her biological father. Truth is, she was adopted

Both of our fathers claimed to be best friends, driven by their thirst for power and their ambition to rule the land of Eternals. Both of them fought for the throne. It was believed that her father was deserving of the throne, but my father, driven by his selfishness and lack of compassion, deceived him and coerced him into breaking a rule.

I am uncertain about the specific rule he was meant to break, but he was apprehended before he could do so. As a result, my father seized control of the entire realm. Somehow, Alora's father managed to gather evidence against my father, exposing his role in the rule-breaking. While this revelation wouldn't have restored the throne to her father, it would have prevented my father from claiming it as well. However, before he could reveal the proof to anyone, my father manipulated me into believing that it was Alex who had murdered my mother. That's why... I...

I swear upon my mother that if I had known he was Alora's father, I would have refrained from causing him any harm, even if he had truly taken my mother's life, which he didn't. I wouldn't have inflicted any pain upon him, especially if I had known he was the father of the love of my life, Alora. I would have forgiven him for Alora's sake because she meant everything to me.

Every day, I yearned for her presence, and in her absence, life felt like a mere struggle. But now, circumstances have made things even more complicated, and I find myself unintentionally hurting her. But perhaps it's for the best?

I would go to great lengths for Alora. If she wished for the entire universe to be destroyed, I would do it. If she asked for the stars, I would give her an entire galaxy. If she desired flowers, I would present her with a whole garden. Deep down, I know I cannot continue to cause her pain. I must, at the very least, reveal to her that I was her childhood best friend, even if her memories fail to recognize me. I must confess that I have faithfully kept the promise we made.

I loved Alora with all my heart. Despite the shadows that surrounded my existence, my love for her remained unwavering. I longed for her presence and was willing to sacrifice anything to ensure her happiness. However, the burden of my past actions and the complexities of our circumstances filled me with doubt. Yet, my love for Alora burned within me, driving me to find a path where our love could flourish, even in the face of adversity.
