LORELAI GILMORE is losing her mind. Roselyn has declared it, and wants her checked out in the hospital.

The crazy woman actually went to Emily and Richards house. Their parents house. The ones who made their lives miserable. Roselyn is completely aware that she told Lorelai to go to Hartford and ask them for money.

However, she did not expect to be apart of an ultimatum Emily thrown out on the table.

Lorelai came over to her sisters house, right after her visit with their parents. She first started out great, explaining how Emily and Richard wanted to help Rory with her expenses at Chilton—but then she got to the part where the four of them had to go to Friday night dinners in order for Rory to get the money.

Absolute bullshit.

"Are you out of your damn mind!" Roselyn shouted as she set down her cup of coffee in the sink, surprisingly it didn't break by the force she through it in. A heated glare was pointed towards Lorelai which made the brunette shrink in her seat.

"I am not going to Friday night dinners with Emily and Richard." she stated forcefully.

"Please!" Lorelai dragged out, looking desperate. Roselyn didn't budge. She hadn't seen her parents since she was 21, and she's 37 now. Danielle hadn't seen her grandparents since she was 5, and now she was 16.

She wasn't even sure why they wanted to see her anyway, not after the way she left.

"I need this. Rory needs this."

Roselyn folded her arms across her chest, glaring at the women as she thought for a moment. She does want Rory to go to Chilton if she wants to, but there is a much easier way to do it instead of going to their parents for help.

Roselyn wouldn't care if Lorelai needed some help with the money for Rory's funds. Hell, she probably wouldn't even notice it was gone. And she wouldn't be holding it over Lorelai's head like a Christmas bulb on a tree.

But Lorelai refuses her help for some unknown reason.

"I'll think about it." she grumbled standing up straight to head upstairs "but there's no promises!"

DIRTY DANCING played on the T.V screen, the lights Illuminated both Roselyn's and Danielle's faces. This was a movie they watch almost twice a week—a comfort movie if you'd say. But, Danielle could sense something was wrong with her mother. She seemed...uneasy.

"I think Rory's gonna change her mind about Chilton." Danielle didn't know why that left her mouth, but she wanted to start a conversation with Roselyn.

The older blonde frowned, confusion all over her face. It didn't make any sense, Rory was more then excited when she found out she got accented into the school...and now she might not want to go. "why not?"

"because she met a boy—the new kid. She said he  had taken a liking to guy her a while ago." Danielle frowned. She was okay with going to Chilton in her own, but she was upset with the fact that Rory begged her to apply when she did, and now she's backing out.

A look of realization struck Roselyn's face. Of course it was a boy. Rory never had a crush on a boy before, so it's expected for her to want to be with him more now—but she's also a very smart girl so she'll figure out soon that going to school would be better.

"Speaking of Chilton." She sighed, leaning her her head back against the back of the couch. "we're going to be going to your grandparents tomorrow for dinner."

Danielle's head turned so fast she almost got whiplash. "i'm sorry, could you repeat that again? i think i heard you wrong the first time." There was absolutely no way her mother just said they were going to her grandparents house for dinner.

She remembered how her mother felt when she lived with her parents—even if she was only five. When her mother turned 18 and was starting college, she remember living in the pool
house with her mother and...her father. but that was only for a few years until Roselyn left John and took her to stars hollow.

She hasn't seen her grandfather or grandmother since then, and if she's honest—she doesn't want to. Her mother is much happier without her parents and John.

Due to those terrible memories from childhood to adulthood, there was only one question rolling around in her mind right now. Why the hell did her mother want to go back there?

A sharp inhale was heard from the older woman. "i'm not happy about it either, kid." this further confused the teen.

"Then why are we going?" she questioned her mother desperately, her face scrunched up from just the thought of it.

Roselyn wasn't sure if she should tell Danielle that Emily and Richard are paying for Rory's Chilton fees. Lorelai feels ashamed by it, and definitely doesn't want to tell Rory about it. But when it comes to Danielle, she deserves to know why they're going back.

"Their paying for Rory's tuition."

Danielle furrowed her eyebrows at her mother "what does that have to do with us?" her voice came out harsher then she wanted, but Roselyn didn't comment on it. "You're paying for mine aren't you?"

"of course I am." she assured her, picking up her can of coke off the coffee table "but i'm pretty sure they are still upset about me divorcing your father without an explanation and leaving with you for 11 years without contact."

Danielle couldn't blame her grandparents for being a little upset about that. But, regardless of
them leaving, they shouldn't assume things—they wouldn't even understand anyway.

Friday night dinner was going to be fantastic...
