Volume 2: Chapter 9

3rd P.O.V

Weiss: "Professor Oobleck...?"

Oobleck: "Yes! Unfortunately, students, those bags won't be necessary, seeing as you've opted to shadow a huntsman on what is now essentially a reconnaissance mission. I can assure you that we will not be establishing a single base of operations. Rather, we will traverse several miles of hazardout wasteland and make camp in any defendable locations we may stumble upon. I've even packed all our essentials myself and the air course and readied the airship. Also, it's Dr. Oobleck. I didn't earn a PhD. for fun. Thank you very much."

Weiss: "Uhhh."

Johnny: "Yeah... got it, Dr. Oobleck."

Oobleck: "Come now, children, according to the schedule, we are already 3 minutes behind on time."

Oobleck already dashed off, leaving some of the others rather confused about these events while Ruby, on the other hand, was rather excited to see how it would play out.

Ruby: "Alright then! Looks like it's up to us to save with Dr. Oobleck!"

Upon realization, Ruby realized that hearing that just straight-up sounded terrible. However, Team JNPR overheard, and Nora felt left out of the mission.

Nora: "What?! You're going on a world saving mission without us?! Aw, now I feel bummed."

Jaune: "Sounds exciting. What's the mission?"

Ruby: "Oh, just outside the kingdom. Nothing much, you?"

Pyrrha: "Ren and Nora wanted to shadow the Sheriff of a nearby village."

Ren: "We set out tomorrow according to the time."

Sun and Neptune then appeared, letting them know that they could party after when their mission is over.

Neptune: "We're shadowing a crime specialist. All inner-city detective stuff. We even get junior badges."

Johnny: "Heh, cool."

Jaune, however, was hyped about it as Sun then explained they always go with them in case stuff is exploding or such. So their best bet was to check out the kingdom when everything has calmed down.

Ruby: "Well, you see uh-"

Oobleck: "Four minutes!"

Johnny: ('Jeez, talk about impatient.')

Zarathos: "You and me both."

Ruby: "Well.... wish us luck. Bye."

The girls and Johnny then dashed off and went inside the bullhead to start their shadow mission and their investigation on the white fang. As the bullhead left, they were high above the ground as they flew over the ground.

Yang: "Honestly, Oobleck, I never really saw you as a fighter."

Oobleck: "I must admit, I fancy myself as an intellect than a man of combat, but as a huntsman, I can assure you I had my fair share of tussles."

Ruby: "Like the mushrooms?"

Blake: "Those are truffles."

Ruby: "Like the sprout?"

Yang: "Those are brussles."

Johnny: "He means struggles. He means that he's had his fair share of struggles as his time of being a huntsman." ('Good lord, those puns are really about to mess with my head.')

Oobleck: "Yes, thank you for translating. Besides, even my given expertise in the field of history, as well as my dabblings in the art of archeological surveys, our headmaster saw it be best to assign me on this particular assignment."
