Chase
After Hunter went home for the night, I went up to my room, and looked out the window facing David's house to see his bedroom light on.
Humph, I wonder what my Damsel in Distress is up to.
After a few momments of just starring at his window, ending with no results, I turned, and went to my desk, to work on some homework.
About an hour later, I went on to Facebook, and none other than David, had requested to be my friend. As I was hitting accept, my phone went off, and I recieved a text message. It read:
Meet me at the park on 3rd around midnight.
-D
Seriously? I am going to have to sneak out of the house to do that, and I have to walk a mile or so because taking my bike, or even opening the garage, would blow my cover.
I simply responded with:
What's in it for me? ;)
He knew I was going to be there, and there was no point in avoiding him.
My phone vibrated with his response:
You'll see.
I absolutely love when people avoid answering my questions! Not. It was eleven already, so I went to go hang out with Daniel, before I made my great escape.
I walked across the hall into his room, and plopped down on his king-sized bed.
"Hey Bro. How it go?" I asked, while looking at him sitting at his desk.
"Not much, Sis, just about to skype with Jannett. Want to join me?"
"Sure! I haven't seen her in forever, nor have I talked to her. What has it been, like a month?"
"Something like that." He responded, pulling a chair over to the desk, so I could sit down beside him.
We waited while the video call was being made, and after about ten seconds, our older sister was on the screen.
"Janny!" We both said in unison.
"Danny! Chase-y! How have you two been?" She said, her white teeth showing in a big smile, and her blonde hair swaying in her ponytail as she moved.
"Good." We both said again.
"There you guys go twinning." She smiled.
"How has college life been?" Daniel asked.
"Great! I have made so many new friends, and I love the campus. I do miss my old room though." She said with a faux pouty face.
"I don't." I laughed.
"Of course you don't. You were practically moved in the day we found out I was accepted."
"I don't like wasting time." I stated with a matter-of-fact tone.
"Right. How is Hunt doin'? I haven't seen her in a while either."
"I really love how you ask how Hunter is before you ask about your parents." I sarcastically stated.
"I'll talk to them tomorrow. Don't be such a smart ass."
"Jannett, you are only two years older than us, don't lecture us."
"Ladies, please stop." Daniel, ever so calmly asked.
We both looked at him, then at eachother, and rolled our eyes. He has lived with us how long, and doesn't know the difference from us messing around, and arguing? Men.
