53 : ethan is back

Jaeyun's breathe hitched after he read the memo. He looks at his secretary and she already play with her fingers, scared if she had done something wrong. No, she isn't but Jaeyun doesn't like the memo.

Ethan Lee is back!

He put the memo on the table and asked his secretary, “when did he came here Soyoung?”

“Yesterday, after you go out for lunch. He stopped by and asked me to send you a memo. He also left one for your girlfriend. Are we going to collaborate with him, Mr Jake?” Soyoung asked and Jaeyun quickly shook his head.

“No, we're not. Thank you for telling me about this, Soyoung. You can continue your work.” he smiles a little and Soyoung bowed before she walked out from his office.

Jaeyun is scared by Ethan's presence. He know how his friend likes Hyejin. Should he act like a bad guy so Ethan can stay away from Hyejin? And it's kind of weird when Ethan didn't text him or call him if he wants to visit South Korea.

Trying to ignore those bad feeling, he continues his work hoping that everything is just his own delusion. As the time passed by his office door was opened from the outside. Jaeyun looks up and he furrowed when he saw Hyejin held a lunchbox.

“Are you not hungry, Mr Jake? It's lunch!” she said as she closed the door and went to the table.

He looks at his watch and just realised how fast the times passed by. Hyejin opened the lunchbox and served it for Jaeyun. She leaned in and her right hand cupped his jaw, “something is stressing you right now.”

“Hyejin—” he coughed and Hyejin softly smile before asking, “it is because of Ethan?”

She chuckled, never seen Jaeyun like this or probably because Ethan is the only person who shows his feeling clearly. To be honest, Hyejin was scared too. She scared over Jaeyun's reaction—knowing that he will insecure over his own friends.

“Ethan is back.” he paused, “what if he still want you, Hyejin?” he added with his puppies eyes.

“U don't care? I'm all yours, Jaeyun. But, you need to be confident about our relationship. You should tell him who's belong to you. You are brave enough to tell him that, right?” she caressed his cheek and Jaeyun slowly nodded.

“That's my boy! Now, stop what you're doing and eat your lunch first!” she left a peck on Jaeyun's cheek. Her actions makes Jaeyun giggled.

After lunch, Hyejin went to her room and continued her work. Sometimes, Jaeyun will call her just in case Ethan will bursted into her office, asking her out without Jaeyun permission. Hyejin just laughed looking at her boyfriend childish behavior.

But Ethan never show up. And Jaeyun was so glad for that! He walked hand in hand with Hyejin doesn't care about what other people think about them. He loves her, that's for sure! And if Ethan saw it too, he's so happy to hear that!

The next day, Hyejin stopped by at the cafe to buy some coffee. While waiting for her coffee, she sat at one table next to the window. Suddenly, someone sat right in front of her and she quickly turned her head.

Her eyes widen, “Ethan?” she look at him who completely have a different style. Not too much, it's just his hair colour changed into blond.

“Hi, Hyejin! Surprise to see me again?” he asked and Hyejin slowly nodded because this is the thing she want to avoid the most. “I... I thought you'll never comeback?”

“What do you mean? Do you think I will leave this country with the fact that you're here? I came back for you, Hyejin.” her breathe hitched with the sudden confession.

Hyejin flabbergasted. Doesn't know what kind of reaction she should show. Hardly gulped, she tried to answer him, “Ethan, I'm happy to see you too. But now, I need to go to work.  Excuse me.”

She immediately get up from her seat and go grabbed her coffee. She's going to be late after all. Ethan's eyes followed her until she's nowhere to be seen. He smiles bitterly before calling the waiter for an order.

“Try again, Ethan.” he muttered those words.

Hyejin stepped in the office building and she quickly get inside the elevator. Her eyes widen with the scene right in front of her right now. It's Jungwon with Sunhee in a very questionable position.

“What is going here?” she asked but neither Jungwon nor Sunhee answer that question. Jungwon gave a spot for Hyejin and now the older stood between two of them. Sense the pressure between these makes Hyejin want to tease them.

“It's a nice morning, right Sunhee?” she asked again and Sunhee quickly nodded her head. Hyejin turned her head towards Jungwon, “you look smart today Jungwon!”

“Thank you, noona. You look beautiful today!” he replied and Hyejin acted surprised and touched.

She's curious but she can't ask them just like that. By the way Jungwon look at Sunhee, it's pretty obvious that something had happened between them.

Reaching their level, Hyejin walked first leaving the other two inside. She has a lot of work to do, maybe next time she'll ask Sunhee about Jungwon. Meanwhile, inside the elevator.

“Phew, that was close!” Jungwon sighed of relief. They almost get busted because Jungwon's stupid move.

Sunhee rolled her eyes, “next time, don't blame me directly! I'm being honest with you and you didn't listen to me at all! I'm going first!”

Sunhee walked out without looking at Jungwon. She's in her bad mood today. And Jungwon?

He's big boy. He can take care of himself!
