Maddie was cleaning her children's rooms, it's been awhile since she's seen her children, with Danny being the King of the GZ and Jazz in college.
While cleaning she found a picture book, it was labeled Danny's, but it was in Jazz's room. Sitting down on her neat, clean bed. She flipped through it, it started when Danny was only two.
It was just memories of Danny and Jazz growing up. And looking at the pictures, She could tell Jazmine took the photos.
It was weird, because Maddie can't recall or remember if she even has any pictures of Danny, past the age of 4.
She decided to call Jazz to see where she got these photos from. Because it's weird not seeing her or Jack in these photos. It was just Danny and Jazz
Danny and Jazz, celebrating Danny's 5th birthday with Sam and Tucker.
Danny and Jazz playing in the park.
Danny and Jazz coloring.
Danny and Jazz cooking.
Danny sleeping with Jazz smiling at the camera.
Danny, Sam, and Tucker chasing each other.
Jazz and Danny cuddled up.
It was just Danny and Jazz. It was either Jazz, Danny, Sam, or Tucker taking the photos. There were doodles and markings, dated on the white part of the film.
She tried to remember the last time she actually spent time with her kids, she thought, long and hard. All she could come up with was her working on the Portal with Jack, or their ghost inventions.
When.. when was the last time I hung out with my kids? She thought. The true answers was She didn't know. But she doesn't believe that, she has to have hung out with them before they left right?
She thinks about it again. She thinks about before Danny left. She thinks about the parent teacher conferences, or times at the park. But she comes up with none.
There's no way
She couldnt believe this, she won't believe this. It couldn't be true. But it was. Danny still thought of her as his mother right? But how could he think of her has his mother if she was barely there?
She felt something wet drag down her face, touching her cheek gently she finds tears. She's crying? She's crying. She hasn't cried since she was a Little girl. There was no reason too. But now she's crying. She didn't get it. He has to think of her has a mother.
I think it's time to actually call Jazz now. Dialing her number, she put her ear to the phone and waited. It rang, once, twice. She answered.
"Hello?" Jazz said, waiting for an answer on why her mother would call her.
"Hey Jazzy, I have some questions for you." Maddie replied. She really wanted to know. This couldn't be true. She won't believe it. She can't.
"Sure Mom, what is it?" Jazz said.
"When was the last time you went to a Parent teacher conference?" She asked
"Oh, before Danny Finished high school, so I would say his sophomore year." Jazz answered
"And when was the last time you cooked dinner for Danny?" She asked.
"Before I left for college." Jazz answered happily
"The last time you hung out?" She asked quickly
"Last week?" Jazz replied.
"The last time you tucked him in?" She asked.
"When he turned 16." Jazz answered slowly.
"...the last time he told you he loved you?" She asked desperately
"Today, about 4 hours ago when he left." Jazz answered, sounding confused.
"......the last time we hung out?" She asked
"I don't remember, actually." Jazz replied
And didn't that break her heart. She says her goodbyes and I love yours before hanging up. She slides down the wall and slumps over. She started sobbing as she looked through the memories in the picture book.
M A M A B O Y,
It was a picture of Danny and Jazz eating Ice cream, how they got the money, she could take a guess.
Mama's Boy, Mama's boy
There was a picture of Jazz kissing Danny's forehead while he slept. She cried harder.
M a M a B O Y.
A picture of Jazz cooking Danny breakfast.
Mama's boy, Mama's Boy.
Another one, if Jazz and Danny playing.
M A M A B O Y
Another,
Mama's boy, Mama's boy
And Another,
M A M a BOY
Another,
Mama's Boy, Mama's boy.
And Another. That was when she realized, through all the tears, and sobs. No matter how hard she cried, and thought about it.
JAZMINE WILL ALWAYS BE DANNY'S MOTHER.
And it was time for her to accept that. No matter how much it hurts, no matter how much she cry's, no matter how much she denies it. It is the truth. Jazz is Danny's mother.
She sobbed. All night, she didn't stop, she sobbed and cried until she fell asleep. No matter, how hard shell try to fix it. It can't be changed. Jazz is Danny's mother. And she'll have to accept that.
