ROSELYN PROMISED herself that she would never show up on the doorstep of Emily and Richard Gilmores house. Not after what happened before she left and took her daughter with her.

She swore that no matter what she would never see them again. But, promises have to be broken sometimes.

She thought all the rest of yesterday, all last night when her and Danielle were having movies night, and all day today about going back to the house she grew up in. It made her sick.

But she had to do it for Rory. Her niece really wanted to go to Chilton, and she didn't wanna fuck it up by not agreeing to this ridiculous ultimatum.

So here she was, outside of the older Gilmores residence. Lorelai and Rory were already there—their Jeep being parked outside gave it away. Her narrowed glare stayed on the door, wanting nothing more then the house to burn down into a million pieces.

"Ya know, we don't have to go in." Danielle told her, smiling a little to calm her nerves. "We could turn around and leave, maybe get ice cream instead."

Roselyn gave a weak smile to her daughter, linking their arms together. "Tempting." she stated, ringing the doorbell. The anxiety was rushing through her blood as she waited for the door to open.

She expected one of the maids to come and open the door, but to Roselyn's surprise her mother stood with the door wide open. Emily Gilmore looked just as surprised as her daughter, maybe even more. She didn't expect for her to actually show up.

"Roselyn." her voice wavered in disbelief. Her confident stance faltered slightly. Slightly. Her gaze moved to her daughters right, finding a young blonde girl standing with the same blank expression her mother wore. It could only be Danielle. "Danielle."

"Hey, Mom." Roselyn spoke quietly, not used to seeing her mother so taken back. She expected to be yelled at, hell even cursed at. But all she got was a started expression.

Though, the night wasn't over yet.

"Come in, it's freezing outside." Emily ushered them in quickly. Roselyn could feel Danielle's grip tighten, it was no secret she had separation anxiety from her mother.

"Sorry, we're late." Roselyn apologized, taking off her coat and handing it to Emily. "None sense." Emily assured "You're right on time, You're sister and Rory just arrived, their in the living room."

Emily grabbed hold of Danielle's hands, shocking the girl a little at the affection. "Danielle, Your grandfather and I, can't wait to hear what you and Rory have to say about Chilton."

Danielle offered a smile, but before she had the chance to say anything she was being dragged into the living room by her grandmother. She looked back at her mother and received a reassuring smile.

It took Roselyn a couple of seconds to want to move from the spot in front of the door. There were to many memories in this house, ones she didn't want to remember. Some memories around here were great, and it made her warm inside. But then some, made her want to throw up everything she ate today.

All the terrible memories revolved around John Marshall. Her marriage. Her daughters father—nope not father, a complete piece of shit.
