A New Visitor To Laminax

Arrival

Just another day at Laminax Laboratories, scientists running tests, guards guarding the Gootraxians, and Gootraxians trying to escape. 

Panther POV:

I was in my cage laying down when I suddenly heard an explosion and then the power shut off. I exited my cage and looked around, when I saw something I never thought I would see. A strange ship seemed to have crashed inside the lab. I turn around and see Sinox and Buck, they must have been curious as well. I hear a door open and a person comes out. They have a device on their wrist and they have some sort of glowing rifle. Some guards come over to restrain us when they also see the person. I think I heard them swear too.

??? POV:

¨Well f***, that sucked.¨ 

I see some sort of creature with black fur and red and yellow eyes look at me. It must have heard me swear. I wipe off the dirt and dust from my clothes and grab my weapons. I put away my rifle and sheathe my swords, snapping them into place on my belt. I walk towards someone with a guard uniform.

¨Hey! What planet is this, I think I crash-landed.¨

The person just faints in front of me. I see two more creatures behind the black-furred one, one has a lab coat and the other has a bucket on its head. I hear a door open and see two more creatures come in, one with purple sunglasses and the other has blue headphones. They run at me so like any other skilled fighter, I easily knock them out instantly, doing no actual damage and giving them no pain. I hear a growl, so I turn around and see the black-furred creature looming over me. 

¨Calm down, whatever you are, no need to fight. They are just knocked out.¨

Panther POV:

The strange person tells me they are just knocked out so I calm down.

¨What is your name, strange person?¨

??? POV:

It speaks! THE GIANT FURRED ANIMAL SPEAKS!

¨You speak?!¨

¨Well of course.¨ 

That catches me off guard. Somehow, that just sets off my fight-or-flight mode and I almost kill it, luckily I didn't. 

¨I did not expect you to speak, oh well. My name is Zephyr.¨

It grins and says, ¨My name is Panther.¨

No wonder it looks like a cat.

¨So that's why you look like a ca-¨

I get interrupted by a loud noise and a screech before getting hit and flung into a wall.

¨Hey now, whatever hit me, watch where you're going.¨ 

I look up and see a black and purple lizard with purple goggles that for some reason have three lenses.

¨Are you a lizard on drugs and steroids?¨

It suddenly gives a confused look before punching me. That hurt. It punches me a second time, ouch. A third time, that hurt a bit. I get pushed back but not much. I press the button on my Z73D and my hoodless cloak and my own goggles come out, the goggles of course land on my head, covering my eyes. They immediately scan the lizard, giving me a detailed description of it. I put on the cloak and the lizard definitely got intimidated. I pull out my Z34 rifle and put a fresh plasma cylinder inside.

¨Let's fight.¨

I aim at the lizard and look at the scan for a weakness. The chest. It launches forward, in a single motion, I sidestep, shove the barrel to its chest, and fire. A loud sound goes off and the plasma quickly spreads throughout the lizard, deteriorating its body like acid. I put away my rifle and watch as the lizard falls down, quickly disappearing which leaves a puddle of plasma. The plasma quickly evaporates, leaving no evidence of anything.
