And in their triumph die like fire and powder,
Which as they kiss consume.❞⎯ william shakespeare,
romeo and juliet, act 2, scene 6SYNOPSIS } the reestablishment, year unknown
PRINCESS CARALYN CATALINA ESTRELLA, DUCHESS OF THE ANGELINE ISLES, has only ever known her continent. She has vague memories of being already being a royal and traveling outside the continent before and when the reestablishment took control of the world, but came to understand a larger role that she would take place. Once a princess of a mediocre country, soon became princess of the entire continent.
Cara grew with grace and beautiful as the only heir to the throne, but as well as a line of defense, skilled in hand to hand combat, weaponry, and much more. Caralyn was given everything and more, but she cared more for the people than any other region. With only her father alive, he assured that Cara would focus on her continent and her continent only.
But when a mysterious deal is struck with the Supreme Commander of North America and her father, King of South America, Cara is supposed to be thrown into the unknown, unexpected and less than ideal marriage arrangement with the Supreme Commander's son - Aaron Warner.
Supposed is the correct phrase.
After hearing of the arrangement, Caralyn shut down the agreement under the Southern American law that calls for consent of marriage from both parties. Soon, another deal is struck.
Caralyn would have one month to spend with the Regant Commander of Northern America and she would make her choice at the end of the month.
The catch?
Regent Commander Warner is not one to back down. And he seems surprisingly okay with the arrangement. Too okay for Cara's liking.
Caralyn is less than thrilled, but with an "in" with the Warners, she is determined to understand why the arrangement was made in the first place.
