Nate Archibald love story

Chapter 3

Amy's POV:

I didn't know what to do... I was kissing Nate Archibald, I couldn't believe it! There were so many emotions running through me right now, excitement, happiness, confusion all in one go.
I suddenly thought to myself I can't do this and quickly pulled away and rushed up to my feet. Nate looked shocked and some what disappointed by the look on his face.
"What's wrong? Are you okay?" He asked

"I'm f-fine, I just I-I I'm sorry, I have to go" I quickly spat out stumbling over a few words because of the shock of what just happened. I didn't know what was happening I just had to say I was busy so I could leave. It's not that I don't like Nate, it's just I've had so many bad experiences with boys in the past I don't think I could handle another heart brake.
I also didn't want to give the wrong impression to Nate, I really do like him I just need time to figure things out.
I had been home around half an hour just sat thinking about everything when I suddenly heard my phone ring. I walked over to the table and looked at the caller ID: Nate.
I hesitated for a moment not knowing what I was going to say to him, but I picked it up anyway and just spat out a load of nonsense.
"Nateimsosorryforbeforeidontknowwhatiwasthinkingiwasju-"
I was instantly cut off by Nate...
"Woah, woah calm down! Look I just wanted to make sure you were okay, I felt bad for earlier and you running off like that, I thought I'd done something wrong?"
"No Nate I'm so sorry it's nothing you've done I just freaked out and didn't know what to do."
"It's okay as long as your okay, listen do you fancy meeting up you know talk things through?"
"Yeh sure, when and where?"
"How about Starbucks in 20 mins?"
"Ye okay see you soon."
"See ya later"
As soon as I put the phone down I quickly touched up my make up and put some skinny black jeans on and a top with a hoodie and some vans.
I grabbed my bag and headed out the door and made my way to Starbucks.

As soon as I arrived I saw Nate sitting down at a table. I walked through the door and Nate looked up from his phone and a smile suddenly occurred on his face. He put his phone in his pocket and stood up and slowly wandered over to me giving me a hug as soon as I reached where he was. He still had a smile on his face and and asked "So what do you want, I'm paying."
"Oh no Nate you don't have too." I replied
"Seriously don't worry about it, let me pay."
"Well in that case, I'll have a chocolate and cream with chocolate chips please."
"Oh good choice!" He mentioned with a smirk on his face.
He then ordered the drinks and he ordered the same as me.
We finally got our drinks and went and sat down at the table.
It was quite for a couple of minutes until Nate broke silence "So listen I don't want it to be awkward between us, but I just want you to know that the kiss, I don't regret it, I kinda liked it, and I don't know if you feel the same, I just wanted you to know that."
"So you only kinda like it?" I asked chuckling a little bit.
"Well, maybe I lied, I really liked it!" He replied, another smirk creeping up on his face.
"Well if we're being totally honest, I don't regret either, I guess the reason why I ran off like that was because I was just over whelmed and I guess I was a little bit embarrassed, I mean we were in a public park after all." I said.
"Yeh I understand, it's fine. So seen as we've sorted that out, how about dinner tonight?" He asked.
"Maybe get to know each other a little more." He added.
"Well how could I refuse, it should be fun!" I said quite excitedly.

After Starbucks I went straight home and started to get ready for my dinner with Nate. I was really excited, maybe this way I will be able to find out more about him.
I got back to my apartment and picked out something to wear, before I showered.
I was just about to get in the shower when I heard my phone beep:
Nate😊:
Hey, can't wait for tonight:) x
Me:
Me too, see u soon:)x
As soon as I had texted him back I got in the shower and then got out and got changed into a black, knee length dress. I then did my make up, nothing to fancy just the basics and then I curled my hair. I was now 6:50pm and Nate was picking me up at 7.
As I sat on the couch waiting for him to arrive, my phone beeped again:
Nate😊:
Come outside...😉x
I quickly stood up grabbing my bag and walked outside and saw Nate stood leaning against a white limo... Looking so handsome u must say!
I walked over to him and his face nearly fell to the floor.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"I'm great, y-you just look so gorgeous!" He replied with a smile on his face.
"Thanks, you don't look to bad yourself!" I chuckled.
He then opened the limo door for me and I got in and then Nate behind me.
Once we got the restaurant, there was hardly anyone around.
"I thought there would be more people around tonight, there's like no one here?" I asked with a confused look on my face.
"Well they mustn't be that busy tonight." He replied with a smirk on his face.
We walked inside and there was no one there.
"Nate what's going on there's no one here. Are you sure they're open?" I asked.
"Oh they're definitely open." He said
"Come on, I've got a surprise for you!" He said smiling.
He covered my eyes with his hands and made sure I couldn't see anything.
"No peeking!" He chuckled
"I'm not peeking! Can I open my eyes yet!"
"You can open them in 3...2...1...now!"
"Omg Nate! I can't believe you would do all this just for me!"
He turned to face me and grabbed hold of both my hands.
"Well I know we haven't known each other long, but I really like you Amy and I'm so glad we met, I feel so happy when I'm with you and I want to get to know you more and just see what happens."
"Nate, I really like you too, and I feel the same way, so let's enjoy tonight and like you say... See what happens." I replied with a huge smile on my face.
I then looked around properly and it was amazing, candles were placed around the room and some on the table, which was also nice with flowers in the middle of it and fairy lights around the table and all around the room.
"Nate this is amazing!" I said excitedly.
"Just like you." He replied.
We then sat down and I suddenly realised that he had done all this for me and there was no one else around.
"Hang on, did you set this up, no one else is around apart from the waiters?" I asked
"Well yeh, I just wanted to make it special and for us to have some time to ourselves."
"How did you manage to pull this all off, you must have had to pay a fortune to have them close for the night just for us?"
"I have my ways" he chuckled
"So it was closed, just not for us?" I said smiling.
"Yep, they closed up just for us."
"Thanks for doing this Nate, no ones ever done anything like this for me before."
"It's fine, I love seeing you happy."
I just smiled at him and then our food arrived. We just sat, ate and talked for most of the night. It started getting late so we decided it was time to go home. We then walked outside and got into the limo.
We set off and Nate looked at me and asked
"Do you want to come back to my place tonight, it's late and I could do with the company. Chucks out with Blair so no ones in tonight."
"Chuck?" I asked confused
"Oh yeh sorry I forgot you two haven't met yet seen as we have only really just met ourselves! He's my best friend and we also share an apartment, I should introduce you two tomorrow, and Blair, his girlfriend."
"So if I'm getting introduced to your friends then does this mean we're best friends now?"
"Well I guess we could be, I don't know about you but I would like something more than just friends."
I looked at him, he was staring back at me and suddenly our lips met for the second time.
