I still remember the night he left me. The night he told me he doesn't love me. I remember sitting on the bathroom floor crying until I fell asleep. The way he told me how beautiful i was, how perfect I am, and now realizing it was all a lie. I was hurt, devastated. I thought he loved me like the way I loved him. I thought it was going to be forever, but now I know the truth. He didn't love me like the way I loved him. He didn't care about me like the way I cared about him. It was all a lie. I can't help but think maybe it was my fault. Did I not love him enough? Was I not good enough? Maybe that's why he left me, I wasn't good enough. But now all I know is that he's gone, he left because of me.

~One year later~

It's almost eight in the morning as I walk into the small cafe shop. The sound of the door closing behind with a ding as the smell of coffee immediately hits my nose. I walk over to the counter while hearing people talk amongst themselves around me. It still surprises me how many people actually go here. I open the door to go to the other side of the counter and drop my bag on the ground. I turn around and grab my dark green apron with my name tag on it off the hanging rack. When I'm about to finish tying my apron, I hear..

" George, get over here! I have a hole line of customers that need assistance! "

Karl, I've only known him for the past seven months since I started working here. He's been the only person I could trust since Cameron left. He's helped me a lot. Even though I've known him for 7 months, it feels like I've known him for years. I honestly don't know what I'd do without him. He is the most sweetest and funniest guy I know.

I walk, go over to the counter, and start helping with the first customer.

"Hey, what could I get you?"

I take their order and turn around and start making their drink.

" Order for Madeline !" I say as I finish their drink

I go and help the next customer.

~Time Skip~ hour and a half later

I'm sitting on a stool on my phone as I see Karl walking up to me in my peripheral vision.

" How have you been today?" Karl asks me.

"I'm fine, just tired." I say, looking up from my phone.

"We should hang out sometime, maybe my place? Sit on the couch, shove junk food into our mouths, and watch movies."

"Yeah, I would be down to do that." I tell him

"Okay, I got to go back to work. My break is over." I say, getting up from my seat.

I walk up to the counter and start taking orders.

About thirty minutes later, I finish up my last order and hand it to them. I walk back over the hanging rack and put up my apron.

Before I leave, I always make a cup of coffee to go with me. I pour the coffee into a paper to go cup. I grab my backpack. Before I leave, I say bye to Karl.

As I'm walking to the exit, I suddenly feel my body hit something hard. I stumbled back a little bit. Then, I move my hand up to my head to rub it.

I look down and see two pairs of shoes in front of me. I slowly move my head up to see who it is. In front of me, I see a tall blonde. I looked down and saw coffee spilled all over his shirt. I look back up and see the man's eyes on me looking pissed off.

"What the hell!" I hear the man yell

Shit...
