Jin said we would reach the kingdom tomorrow afternoon at the rate we were going. We had stopped for the night at the edge of a tiny groove of trees.
Jin and Sub had both fallen asleep already, sleeping side by side, Sub curled slightly at Jin's side while Jin was laying on his side, snoring softly. Sky and I were both still awake though, I had agreed to stay watch tonight while Sky was just to restless to fall asleep.
I poked at our little fire absentmindedly while Sky stared into it, seeming to be lost somewhere else, as he was for most of our trip. We sat like that for a while, until I sighed and said. "whats bugging you? "
Sky's head jerked up, surprised, but all he answered was. "Nothing, just thinking."
I titled my head, "'Bout what."
He open and closed his mouth, stopping with brief hesitation, then he said. "About what the guys in Team crafted are looking like. And how their doing and stuff, I suppose."
Lair, a single thought shot through my head as I answered. "Really?" That was not what he was thinking about and I knew.
Sky nodded his head. "Yea, that's all." Then he laid down turning away from me, pulling the blanket he had brought up to his shoulders. "I'm going to bed now, night Ty, wake me up when you get tired."
I narrowed my eyes and said, "Okay, good night." Then I added briefly and softly . "You're a terrible lair, you know."
Ether he heard me or not I don't know, he simply pulled his sunglasses off and set them on the ground beside him.
The sounds of the night took over as the camp fell silent.
time Skip
The next morning we set off again, Sky and I arguing the whole entire time. I hadn't woken him up last for his watch turn and he was saying I looked dead tired. I argued I was feeling fine and I was only kinda tired. Kinda
"Ty!" he said sharply. "You should've woken me up! You're gonna fall asleep on the horse and crash Sub and you!"
"Oh I'm fine!" I yawn back, holding the reins lightly in my grip. Sub and Jin were sitting both uncomfortably behind us, listening to us argue. "You looked too peaceful to wake up!"
Sky pulled Sea busicut along side of my horse. "Okay, We all heard that part, now what I'm saying is trade places with Jin!"
I shook my head, "No I'm fine Sky, jeez, we're not even that far away now!"
Sky let out an exasperated groan, before turning to Jin behind him. "Jin help me out here!" He gave Sub a look. "Sub?"
Sub just shrugged, while Jin said. "I dunno Ty, maybe Sky's right, you do look a bit tired..."
I let out a groan. "Not you too!" I let one of my hands go from the reins to rub my eyes. "Okay, Okay, If I traded places with Jin, will you shut up?"
Sky nodded, "Yea,"
I sigh, pulling my horse to a stop, Sky following my lead. Sub removed his hands from around my waist as I jumped down,Jin jumping down as well.
I walked over to Sky's horse, hauling my self up on the saddle, grabbing Sky's sides.
"There ya go," I said in a humorless tone. "Happy?"
"Very," Sky said, watching Jin get up on my horse. "Now our journey may continue." He kicked his horse gently in the sides, causing the horse to lurch forward, Jin followed, swaying a little nervously on his horse.
My eyes grew heavy as Jin and Adam talked, And I don't know how it happen, but I fell into a deep,dreamless slumber.
Sky's POV
Ty's face fell against my back only a few step into our new seating arrangement.
Sub, Jin, and I exchange a glance before I laughed. "Ha! I knew it, is he asleep?"
Jin nodded, smiling with Sub. "Yea, Actually it's kinda funny." He laughed. "He looks like hes a toddler or something."
I laughed again, before making a disgusted face. "Ew, I hope he doesn't drollll."
Jin just nodded, suddenly distracted about something ahead. "Uhuh, but, ah I don't think that nap will last much longer....."
"Hmm, why?" I asked.
Jin points ahead, "The Kingdom is in sight."
I look ahead, and sure enough, a pale sandstone tower stood ahead of us, a blue and green flag waving in the distance.
And just seeing that , filled my body with dread.
