Little sora went Missing on **-**-****. She and her family went on picnic/ camping trip. (Parents testimonies clashed). They claimed little sora went to explore the woods, and never came back. Parents called police two days after said disappearance. We asked for a description of clothing the child was wearing at time of disappearance. (Again testimonies clashes) clothing they claimed the child was wearing were nowhere similar to each other. The mother claimed she was wearing a sun dress, the father claimed she was wearing a graphic tee and pants. The interview went on for six more hours, nothing was between the two testimonies matched. When asked why they waited two days to contact police, the said they tried to find her themselves the first day, and were beside themselves with worry that they forgot to contact authorities. We asked neighbors about the girl, many were surprised that the couple had a child. As they had never seen her. Some said they saw the two's car leave early the morning of the girls disappearance, And returned the early afternoon. Foul play is suspected.
The two called for a lawyer, and even with reasonable cause, we were forced to close this case, by the hero commission. The fathers workplace.
With a heavy heart, I detective harenito rockford, declared this a cold case under forceful action. And I pray that wherever little sora is now she is at peace and happy.

So this is the case that made my former mentor cynical, and motivated him to solve all his cases. I've heard him talk about it vaguely. But he never wanted to talk about it much. I seen him bring a bouquet of flowers to her grave every year and sit and talk with the grave stone about different cases he had solved since he had last came, at the time I thought it was the grave of his own child. But now looking at the file I understood why he had the resolve he had to this day. Not wanting the perpetrators of the crimes he solves to get away.
The reason I was able to reopen the case was because of nezu. The principal of UA high. He had met the girl at the age of three at the park, and was delighted by her intelligence at chess at such a young age, And one day she had stopped showing up. He decided recently to see how she was doing and looked into the system for her and contacted me to reopen the case with his authority which is about equal to the hero commission.
I'll wait a little bit before I tell my mentor about the case being reopened. And gather evidence of their crime. And with everything that he has so far, I probably wouldn't need much more. Hopefully this will bring peace of mind back to the person I look up to.
