Vampire kingdom

The days started to blur together as the day of the first snowfall was drawing closer and closer, Celeste had been training by her fathers side nonstop. The young vampire had grown stronger unaware of the dangers that lie ahead, she was making her way up to her mothers study wanting to ask her a question.
"Mom?"
She opens the door to find your mother's study, empty. She walked in looking around, realizing that she most likely was at the Glade just outside the kingdom's borders. She went and grabbed one of her cloaks, wrapping it around her body to keep herself warm from the cold wind.

She started to make her way outside of the palace walls to the glade, as she walked people from her mothers kingdom would give her a slight bow or curtsy. She will always give them a gentle greeting in a small knot bag as she walked by. She approached the glade, though, and a shiver ran down her spine, but not from the cold this type of shiver she felt was from fear. She approach cautiously, trying to suppress her fear, hoping to her mother was all right.

"I don't want to do this anymore!"
Her mothers voice ran throughout the glade as she spoke, Celeste immediately hid behind a tree, knowing that her mother was with someone.
"Your breaking a deal with me?! No one breaks a deal with me!"
Celeste turned her head enough to see a tall shadow like a person towering over her mother, she let out a breathy gasp and covered her mouth, hoping she wasn't heard.
"This deal isn't worth it anymore! I can protect my daughter so I don't need your help anymore, shade!"
Shade cackled loudly as he seemed to grow in size, he smirked wickedly as he walked behind her. With a snap of his fingers black tendrils rose from the ground and dragged Celeste into the shadows, she let out a scream as she reappeared in front of them.

"Oh look! It's your daughter!" Shade cackled
"Let her go shade!" Irina growled
Celeste tried to crawl away but the tendrils wrapped around her tightly keeping her there, shade circled around again and grabbed Irina by the head making her look at him as he squeezed tightly.
"Remember what happens when you break our deal Irina, I'll give you one more chance to change your mind or your daughter will suffer the consequences!"

As he spoke another tendril rose dripping black liquid as it slowly pierced the Vampire princess's shoulder, she poor girl cried out in pain and agony. Irina growled and struggled to get out of his grip watching her daughter.
"Stop! Your deal was with me, don't punish her for my mistake!"
The tendril pulled out slowly making the pain even worse as it lingered, the black liquid dripped out of the wound as it started to heal itself.
"Interesting ability your daughter has will be useful later." He said before turning back to the queen.
He pulled out the contract and showed her what she had signed.
"Sorry sweetheart, you signed a magical contract!" He yelled menacingly at her.
"Your daughter will suffer the consequences and so will you!"
He let go of Irina and picked Celeste up by the back of her head, unless you want me to just kill her right now?"
"No!"
He smirked and dropped the girl on the ground once again.
"It's either you or her! But until then....."
he snapped his fingers causing Celeste to fall into a deep sleep.

He Cackled as he sank into the ground.
"Have fun my dear!"
"Celeste?!"
She picked her daughter up and cried as she held her, her breathing was slow and steady but still there.
"I'm so sorry my sweet girl, I've failed you."
She held her in her arms for what seemed like hours before finally taking her back to the castle, as she made it back her eyes red from crying Travis ran out to meet her.
"What happened?! Is she alive?!"

"She's Alive, just asleep...." She said, Irina started crying again. "I'm so sorry travis, this is all my fault." She cried
He wrapped his arms around both of them and held them close.
"Sssshhh, you didn't know this would happen. All we can do now is wait for her to wake up." He spoke softly in her ear as he dried her tears. He carried Celeste the rest of the way to her room, he laid her down and pulled the covers over her so she wouldn't be
cold. Her mother stayed next to her waiting to see her daughter's eyes again.
