Chapter Thirteen

"TESSA I'M GONNA THROW UP!"

"No you're not." I assured him.

"I'M GONNA PASS OUT! CATCH ME."

"Cameron if you pass out and fall on me you'll injure both of us." I warned.

"FINE THEN I'M GONNA SCREAM!"

And then, he let out a blood curdling scream.

I winced and smacked his arm. "Pull yourself together! You're being overly-dramatic."

"But, but, but. Did you see what I just DID!?!?"

I nodded. "I saw.....And she said yes. It's not like she said no. What's there to freak out over?"

"Ex-zach-ly! She said yes! Do you know how nervous I am now?!"

Sighing, I put my hands on his shoulders and made him look at me.

"Cameron, I promise, everything is going to be okay. Trust me. This works out even better than my original plan."

He looked at me curiously. "What was that?"

"A story for another time. Now, take some deep breaths and clear your mind before someone calls the police from all the screaming."

He did as I said and he looked like he was calm again.

"Feeling better?"

"A little."

"Good. Now, let's think about this logically. You have five-ish days to prepare yourself for this. WITH my help. Think about Kellie. She doesn't have me there. Think about all the nerves SHE'S feeling."

His eyes widened. "Oh my gosh, you're right! I probably scared her so bad! OHMYGOD! She probably doesn't even wanna hang out now!"

I facepalmed. "Not where I was headed. I meant you're not the only one who's nervous. She's just as excited to see you as you are her."

"Oh. But I still could have scared her!"

"Nah, I'm sure you just made her life."

"You think so?"

"I know so, Cam."
