CHAPTER 23

"Come on Seonghwa, you need to go to kindergarten."

"No......"

"Why? Can you tell me why you always behave like this every time you have to go to kindergarten?"

Seonghwa played with his hands before answering. "I have no friends. I was always alone in kindergarten. I play alone, eat alone."

Jiyeon was surprised to hear Seonghwa's confession. She didn't think it was the reason he didn't want to go to kindergarten and cried every time.

"May I know why?"

He shrugged and his eyes still looked at his hands.

"I will talk to your teacher later. Don't worry okay, I will solve this problem." Jiyeon strokes his hair.

"Can I sit at home today?" He asked slowly.

"I'm sorry but no, you have to go to kindergarten."

He pouted and took his Batman lego figure to bring to kindergarten.

"Let's have breakfast, Yunho and Mingi waiting for you." Seonghwa nodded and Jiyeon took his Toothless backpack. They headed to the dining room.

"Good morning Hwa!" Mingi wished him.

"Good morning." Seonghwa took a seat opposite Yunho and started eating his breakfast.

It's just a simple breakfast, mushroom soup and bread. There are also some apples and bananas. Four of them started eating their breakfast interspersed with stories from the kids.

"Ma..ma.." Suddenly Jongho's voice stopped them. He was in Hongjoong's support, entering the dining room.

"My baby is awake?" Jiyeon held out her hand to Hongjoong to give her Jongho.

"I heard him crying in his room, so I checked on him."

"Thank you Hongjoong, you can eat."

Jiyeon got up and went to the sink to wash Jongho's face before she let him eat.

"My baby wants what?" Jongho whined, he was still in no mood. "I'll make you milk." She wants to put him on the kitchen island meanwhile but failed when he hugged her neck tightly, not wanting to be put on it. His whining grew louder.

"I can't make milk for you if you're like this. Don't want hot water to go to your body."

"Let me hold him." Hongjoong suddenly came after he heard Jongho whining.

"Okay, wait a minute."

Jongho now changed from Jiyeon to Hongjoong. Luckily, he didn't refuse because sometimes he just wanted Jiyeon when he woke up.

"Let's wait for your milk there." Hongjoong sat back in the chair and continued eating his breakfast. Meanwhile Jongho just leaned his body on Hongjoong's chest.

"Come here baby." Then Jiyeon came with a bottle of milk in her hand. She took Jongho from Hongjoong and sat in her place earlier.

She laid Jongho on her lap and gave him his milk. He sucked on his milk bottle with one hand playing with Jiyeon's hair which was left to one side. She resumed eating breakfast.

A few minutes later, they were all ready to eat breakfast. Jiyeon was the first and she went to change Jongho's diaper in his room. When she went downstairs again with Jongho, she saw her maid had come.

"Jongho, come here. Your mom wants to go to work." Yejin tried to take Jongho from Jiyeon but failed. Jongho turned and hugged his mother's neck tightly.

"Jongho..."

"No no." He said by moving his index finger.

"It's okay, Yerin. I will let him send me and his brothers. Hongjoong will send me to the office today." Yerin nodded and walked to the kitchen.

"Jongho will send you to kindergarten today." Jiyeon tells as she wears her shoes. His brothers were already excited.

They arrived at the kindergarten after 15 minutes. Yunho and Mingi ran into their class while Seonghwa was still standing by the car.

"Seonghwa?"

"Mama, I want to go back."

"Let's go in, I need to talk with your teacher." Jiyeon leads his hand and Jongho is left in the car with Hongjoong.

"Good morning Seonghwa. Oh Ms. Jiyeon?" Seonghwa's class teacher greeted as she saw them in front of the class door.

"Good morning teacher, I'm sorry but can I take your time for a moment? I have to talk about Seonghwa." Jiyeon told and she looked at Seonghwa.

"Sure. Let's talk in my room."

"Seonghwa, you go sit down. I want to talk to your teacher." Seonghwa had no choice but to nod. He walked to take his place in the classroom. Meanwhile Jiyeon followed his teacher to her room.

"Sit down, Ms. Jiyeon."

"I think you know Seonghwa always cries every time he gets to kindergarten and this morning I asked him why. He said he was alone in kindergarten, he had no friends. He always plays and eats alone. Is that true?"

"Actually it is true. Seonghwa is quiet in class, he doesn't talk to his classmates and most of the time he will sit alone. I told his classmates to play with him but it didn't last long. Since he is still in kindergarten so I think he needs more time so I don't want to force him too much to hang out with his classmates. I spoke to him several times but he chose to remain silent. I've thought about telling you if it gets worse."

Jiyeon sighed hearing the explanation from Seonghwa's teacher.

"He grew up without friends. Before this, it was just him, his mother and father. He doesn't get along with others, it's so hard for him to get close with others. He doesn't like socializing with people he doesn't know."

"I think we need give him some time and if it's still the same, I suggest you take him to see a specialist." Seonghwa's teacher suggested.

"I will think about it and I will talk to Seonghwa. Thank you for your time."

"Don't worry, Ms. Jiyeon, I will try my best to help him. It is my duty as a teacher and I will report to you anything related to him."

"Thank you again. I think I have to go now. But can I talk to him for a moment before I leave?"

"Sure."

They returned to Seonghwa's class and he was playing with his lego figure alone, not paying attention to what was happening around him.

"Seonghwa, your mom wants to talk to you. Come here."

Seonghwa got up from his seat and headed to Jiyeon at the classroom door.

"Seonghwa, I need to go now. Everything will be okay, tell your teacher if you need anything. And... play with your friends too, they want to play with you. Don't be afraid to make friends, baby." Seonghwa just nodded slowly at his mom.

"See you at home, I love you." Jiyeon kissed his cheek.

"I love you too, mama." Seonghwa replied her kiss.

Jiyeon went to the car and they headed to her office.

"Jongho, mama go first. Don't be naughty." She kissed all over his face making him whine. Jiyeon chuckled and closed the car door before she entered her office building.
