Far in the countryside of Yokohama was a mysterious forest. Anyone who entered would get lost in a dense fog and have to return to their starting point for their own safety, unable to see anything.

Therefore, no one knew what was inside.

The residents of Yokohama begged the police or the government to do something about it, but there was nothing to be done. They'd tried everything they could think of and nothing worked.

A research team had been sent to investigate. They left a trail for themselves to follow and kept walking through the fog once it reached them.

However, their trail disappeared into the fog sweeping the ground and they had to turn back immediately. They'd tried again, using a mapper, but that had failed too.

They'd sent in paranormal experts, scientists, researches, even priests had been invited to join. Nothing worked.

Eventually, the people gave up on trying and decided to just leave it be. And so it sat, no one going near it for years. The police even had a fence put around the forest to try and keep people out.

And that was how it was left for years.

Until one day, someone new tried to enter.

A young girl was running through the streets. Her breathing was heavy, and her legs were burning. She could feel her heart racing. Her ribs hurt, her arms hurt. She was crying. She desperately tried to wipe her tears so that she could see, but it was to no avail.

However, she couldn't stop running.

Where she was going, she had no idea. She had nowhere to go. But it didn't matter now, she knew she'd figure it out later when it was important and when she had the chance to think about those kinds of things. For now, she had to focus her attention on running.

That's what was most important.

Running.

Racing.

Going until she couldn't keep going.

Exceeding her own limits for the sake of her dreams.

Most girls her age dreamed of shoes or boyfriends or toys.

Not her. This girl had bigger dreams.

Freedom.

Family.

Friends.

Support.

Love.

Happiness.

She had to keep running as far as she could. She couldn't stop now. Everything she'd ever wanted depended on her running.

And so she continued on. Her shoes smacking against the pavement under her feet.

She reached the edge of town. She paused and glanced behind her. She waited for a second, catching her breath a little. Her legs hurt so bad. Her tears kept coming.

But she needed to keep going.

After a few more seconds, she saw someone behind her. It was a man. He noticed her. He ran toward her.
