The Tragedy

At about 1 in the morning, Charles's secretary knocks on his door.

Charles sleepily said''Enter...'' he yawned with a sigh of annoyance

''Sire, sorry for waking you at this time of night..but i have some news to make you aware of.'' the secretary announced to Charles in a whisper; ''Go on..'' Charles said with anticipation..still a bit agitated though. The secretary began to explain his message, ''Its Diana, your ex wife, sir. She's been in a horrible car accident due to a car chase with the paparazzi, she's in critical condition.''

''What!?'' Charles exclaimed in Shock  as quiet as possible, as he didn't want to wake his current wife that he had an affair with while he was with Diana, which is Camilla who was also sleeping in the room beside him, teh walls are very thin in this palace..''Why..why Diana of all people!?'' Charles said to himself in a quiet tone of voice, while getting dressed and grabbing his coat ''Get the jet ready please..'', The secretary nodded at his instruction from Charles.

 About half an hour later, the jet was ready and Charles was on it. The flight time from Buckingham palace to Paris's central Hospital, which was called Pitié Salpêtrière Hospital, was roughly about 3 hours and 30 minutes, probably longer as Charles had to go and put his suitcase in the hotel, then get in the private car , hired by the Royal family of course, then to go to the actual Hospital itself. The 3 and a half horrible hours, was the longest 3 hours and 30 minutes Charles has ever had to go through...it was absolutely horrendous. Yes, He and Diana had divorced years ago, but he still cared about her..maybe even loved her considering how worried he was for her, but why does it take a life or death major car accident for him realize his feelings?! Finally after these gruelingly long hours on the plane and Charles anxiously waiting, fiddling with his signet ring, he wasn't even paying attention until his secretary tapped him saying ''Your majesty, we are here.''. This was a massively huge relief to Charles, as these past few hours were torture to him pretty much ''Thank heavens..'' Charles said grateful that the horrible waiting was soon over.

Charles was still a bit pissed off the fact he couldn't just go to the hospital now, but he was more worried about Diana's condition than being pissed off at this moment in time. He unpacked his stuff, with the help of his secretary, and freshened up before getting in the car that was hired by the Queen (his mother) herself. The car ride felt almost infinite, as if it'd never end..ever- but eventually it did, it was a whole hour, the most grueling hour ever in existence for Charles. But eventually he finally arrived at the hospital, and was greeted by Dr.Pier ''Hello Your majesty, it's a pleasure meeting you.'' Dr Pier paused to shake Charles's hand ''So, what brings you, of all people, here?'' the doctor questioned.  ''Well..'' Charles clears his throat ''It may sound strange, but I'm here to see my w-..'' He coughed to try cover up his mistake ''-Ex wife, Lady Diana.'' Charles says trying to hide his mistake of nearly calling Diana his wife, imagine how suspicicous that would be calling Diana his bloody wife. Well his cover up seemed to work, but Charles really hoped Diana would be alright, because their last marriage was forced and wasn't really..physical attraction, or any sort of attraction at all really..so, they never produced kids, In turn means Diana is still virgin and so is he, and Charles has no heir either. So over the past few years Charles realized he did love Diana as he began to miss her deeply when they divorced a few years back, and still does and the sad thing is all of their marriage, Diana loved him to bits..but he didn't give her the time of day, which he heavily regrets and he wants to try again, as he has realized he has so much attraction towards Diana..more than he ever knew. Charles turned to his secretary, ''Tell Camilla I'm ending the relationship with her, asap''. The secretary nodded at this sudden request as he thought it was a bit odd of Charles to say such a thing.
