What should I say when I want to kiss the side of your neck and leave it at that? When I want to feel the heat of my own breath bounce back and warm my lips after I strategically place them on my favorite pieces of your skin. I want to leave goosebumps everywhere I have not kissed and spend the night trying to read them like braille.

I let out a deep sigh, that left a sharp pain cascade my heart. I kept reading that over and over, imagining how'd it feel to press my lips against hers. I want to cuff my hands around her rosey cheeks and lea-

"Eaaaartthhh to ellaaa" a voice crashed into my thoughts. Cary.

"Huh? What I wasn't thinking of anyone? What?"

"Dude chill, now were you listening to what I was saying?"

"Ummmm" I replied.

"Ugh, never mind, so who were you thinking about uh?" She poked my side. I gazed at the floor and clenched my jaw.

How am I supposed to tell her? What if she doesn't talk to me. What if she leaves? Never speaks to me again?
I used my hands to shift my body to where I felt comfortable.

"Well?" She asked.

"Well, um."

"Come on tell me, lunch is about to be over in five minutes."

"This guy" rolled off my lips.

"Omg, who?!?!, tell me?" She squealed. I felt sweat prickle the creases in my hands. I didn't exactly know how to answer this question. I don't like lying to my friends, it leaves a guilt at the pit of my stomach. I just stared blankly at the ground again until the sound of the bell punctured my ear drums.

"What's wrong?" Cary asked.

"Nothing"

"Okay, well anyway Jack is in my history class next" she smirked.

"You say it all the time"

"Cause he's so hot, I mean have you seen his hair?" She rambled.

"Yup, and that guy is in my class next" I felt so guilty, I mean we've been friends since third grade, she practically knew me inside and out.

"Have fun!" Her voice irritated me now. I pushed myself off up from the seat and headed towards the restroom. The conversation we had kept replaying in my head. The way I felt, the way she spoke, the atmosphere our convo had, all just replayed and replayed. I got angry thinking of it.
'Have fun!'
