~Rose~

My general scrambled behind me frantic as I just broken the big news to them "When did she say when she's coming back"

I marched down the hallway with my heeled boots clicking against the floor. My hair swished behind me dramatically. It had gotten So long it was almost to my waist now and completely white.

I stopped mid-stride picked my general up by the shirt and shoved them against the wall
"Damn it! No, she has not. I've told you this many times. I will fucking fire you Jenna do you want to be fucking fired" I gritted my teeth my fist gripping the women's shirt as she quivered under me.

"N-no" she stutters as her whole body shakes. Her eyes held complete terror.

My eyes widened as she started to cry. I slowly Let her shirt go and took a step back as I did I stumbled over my own feet. I caught myself with a hand against the wall.

She was just asking Rose, she was just asking. There was no need for you to get upset.

"P-please don't fire me" she stuttered clutching her signature glitter clipboard to her chest.

I put a hand over my eyes and took a deep breath. Fuck Rose get your shit together. You can't keep yelling at your staff.

I straightened myself and patted down my dress and turned back on my heels
"You're not fired Jenna get back to work, and don't ask me any more questions"
Or it will be your life I didn't say as I left her shaking against the wall.

I bit my fingernail as I walked fast towards my office. Contractors passing by me and members of the castle. Isabelle passed by me with a wave but I didn't return it. She frowned but went back to talking to the main contractor about what was wanted to be done to the throne room.

My hand pressed against the wood as I busted into my office and slammed the door shut behind me. The bright light shining overhead. I turned off the lights. Darkness surrounded me. the only light coming in from the window allowed me to be able to see my surroundings.

I took a few breaths. Trying to control my breathing. I put my hands over my face and started to cry. Everything was so overwhelming. I couldn't take it. Trying to be a Queen that was needed while also trying to be a good friend and daughter. It was all beginning to be too much. How did Alessandra ever stand this?

I needed a break, I needed-

*KNOCK* *KNOCK*

"Rose come now! It's Saphira her eggs are-" I didn't give the person a chance to finish before I was out the door and running past them like the flash.

My feet felt like they barely hit the ground as I ran out of the castle. I glanced behind me "Where is she?"

The haruspex stopped and pointed towards the woods in the distance "She called for you" they mumbled and silently disappeared.

Without a second thought, I sprinted. Running as fast as my legs could take me. My hair blew against the wind making a mess of my head when I came to a halt outside of the bushes.

I pushed branches aside as I stepped into the woods yelling out Saphira's name. My hair got stuck in the branches and my pants leg got caught on the tree roots as they tried to climb up on my leg.

"Not now" I gritted as I gripped the brown and green roots and pulled their reluctant grip off of my leg.

The roots fell against the leaves with a crunch and I ran past deeper into the woods. As I ran I felt bad about pushing them away I knew they just wanted my affection.

I screamed "SAPHIRA!" My voice echoed in the quiet woods. no response could be heard. I didn't hear the soft rhythm of her breathing or the sound of her feet shuffling against the ground.
