A Chase For The Telephone

"1, 2, 3, ready set go!!!"
Screeched out a voice from Maddys TV. It was almost 12 am in the night and Maddy was cooking some food in her marble floored – sharp counters kitchen. A yummy avocado toast with pepper, Maddy had also a TV playing in her living room not far away from the kitchen. A pretty odd japanese show about running around a buddha statue. Maddys TV was illuminating the dark hallway leading upstairs, when suddenly, Maddys phone rang. Maddy was almost finished making the avocado toast and she thought to herself in annoyance:
"Ugh, what now?"
Maddy stumbled Through her kitchen to the living room, her phone was laying on the couch. The room was dark only illuminated by the light of the TV, Maddy came closer to the couch as she almost tripped upon a teddy bear laying on the ground. Maddy reached for her telephone vibrating on her couch.
"Unknown Caller ID? Huh, who could be calling me so late into the night and also an unknown number? Odd, I think i should answer it tho..."
Were the words running through Maddys brain while she was staring at her phone nervously. With shaky fingers Maddy pressed the green button and suddenly,
"Hello Maddy, You don't know me but i know you.."
Spoke a male voice out from her phone, it sounded like the person was somewhere from 16-20 years old judging by their voice.
"W-w-who is this?"
Spoke Maddy into the phone with chills on her back.
"I'll give you an answer for that if you'll play a game with me."
Spoke the male voice out with a deep ominous tone almost chuckling at the end of the sentence.
"Is this a prank call?"
Exclaimed Maddy trying to sound intimidating but her words came out shaky and ridden with fear. Maddy was getting uneasy so she went to the hallway to turn on the living room light but suddenly, the TV turned off! And so did the kitchen lights and all other electrical device in her house, flipping the light switch didn't help and now she was in complete darkness except for her phone and the dim moon. Now panicking Maddy almost dropped her phone but then. she heard the male voice in the call say:
"Well well well Maddy, the game is a simple round of hide and seek. I will be seeking and you have 60 to hide-"
"AHHHHHHHH!"
Screamed Maddy as she turned back after hearing a knock on the big glass window/wall on the left side of her living room. There was somebody standing in her backyard in a black cloak and with a ghost face mask. They were waving their hand to Maddy next to the big glass window/wall. But unexpectedly the masked person pulled out a phone and simultaneously Maddy heard the man on the other side of the call starting to count down from 60, The man in Maddys call and the man in her backyard were the same person. Panicking Maddy dropped her phone to the ground and started to sprint out of to the kitchen to grab a knife, almost tripping over the same teddy bear on the floor again. Maddy tried to quickly grab a knife out of her cabinet but instead she bumped into the sharp cabinet counter which send her tumbling to the ground still panicking Maddy saw the person outside her house reaching their hand into her kitchen through an open window 6 feet away from her. Reacting quickly Maddys fight or flight response triggered and she stood up now filled with adrenaline and rushed into the dark hallway not caring about bumping into counters and cabinets. In the hallway Maddy started running up the stairs as she heard glass which is probably her window breaking in her kitchen, the masked man was now in her home. Fumbling with the keys to lock her door Maddy couldn't lock herself in her room in time as she heard the person steadily approach her from the stairs. Maddy looked around her dark room, only seeing anything because of the moons dim light. Maddy wanted to either hide in her closet or hide under the bed, but before she could decide she heard somebody knocking on the door to the room. Last second Maddy practically jumped to the ground and swiftly climbed under her bed as the door opened.
"Maddy, Maddy~ where are you hiding darling?~"
Said the masked man while Maddy was trying her best to hold her breath under the bed with her hand.
The Man walked around her room when he suddenly swung the closet door open, because the closet was pretty big and had a lot of space he walked into it to look if Maddy was there but then, suddenly, Maddy remembered, that she dropped her phone downstairs and now it's the best moment to make a quick run for it. Maddy crawled from under her bed in under 2 seconds and stood up quickly starting to run out of the door when she heard the man exclaim:
"There you are!"
Maddy turned around out of reflex and in her room she saw, a tall figure of a person in a black cloak with a ghost face mask on, they also had a large and sharp knife in his hand that Maddy failed to take from her kitchen for self defense. But without any time to react he suddenly launched at Maddy and she almost fell down the stairs but quickly she turned around in a swing dodging the knife that the cloaked man attempted to stab her with. With Maddy running down the stairs, a chase for the telephone insured. The cloaked man was following Maddy close behind with his knife swinging at her a couple times which caused her to almost fall down. At the end of the stairs Maddy quickly swung her body in the right direction to run into her living room where she saw her phone still turned on laying on the ground, but the swing was a little bit to much and caused Maddy to come crashing down into a wall. Laying on the floor Maddy saw the killer come closer to her but then,
"A vase! There is the vase on the floor!"
Thought Maddy to herself as she picked the vase up and smashed the killers head with it. Instantly the killer fell down and Maddy stood up limping her injured body to her living room, but what she didn't notice is the killer standing up and pulling out a pistol aiming it straight at her head. As Maddy reached for her telephone laying on the ground  ready to call the police to escape this hell hole of night, there was a loud shoot. Crashing down came not Maddys body but the killers, turning around in shock she saw somebody standing over the body of the killer. It was one of her friends.. Athena, with a pistol in her hand, and blood splattered all over her body. Athena and Maddy slowly came closer to each other and they both hugged tightly. Maddy was on the verge of tears starting to cry when she suddenly heard Athena say:
"S-s-sorry..."
*BOOM*
Maddy fell to the floor dead after Athena shot her in the head while they were both hugging. After that Athena took out a walkie-talkie and whispered into it:
"Victim 4 down.... kades is next."
