Sunbeams!

A sunny morning. It's the first day of school!
You can smell the warm waffles!
Kenna is sleeping with her eyes shut. Momma came in.

"Kenna! Wake up! Kenna!"
It's her birthday! She'll be 4 this year! Our Kenna has grown so much!
She rubbed her eyes with her little hands.

Kenna woke up and Momma hugged her!

After the tasty breakfast, Kenna inserted a pencil in my home through my window and I sharpened it with my axe.
Kenna asked Momma, " Mom, How do sharpeners work? Is there someone inside it to sharpen the pencils?"
Momma laughed and told her, " No, there are wheels to sharpen the pencils!"

She asks so many weird questions. Once she asked Momma if her name was Momma and if Kenna's name would turn to 'Momma' after she got older.
Then only I discovered that Momma's name is NOT 'MOMMA'!

She went to her school. Finally!

She was crying when Momma was leaving. The other kids consoled her. The teacher was so sweet too. I felt relieved to meet such good people.

I got to meet with many other dolls and friends. They were nice but I had to work overtime. PHEW! So tiring!
Her teacher gave everyone to draw something. She drew me!

When Poppa and Momma came to pick Kenna up, she was laughing and bade the other kids. I also bade the other dolls. Some of them had souls, others didn't. The teacher gave her a little keychain doll. She was so pretty! She was like me. She was alive! But some dolls were not alive. I thought every doll and stationary could talk like me!

Kenna couldn't stop talking about her hectic day!

She fell asleep early that night.

It was night finally.
I said hello to the doll.

"Hello!"
"I'm Lina. You?"
"I'm Pecky. How are you?"
She was kinda rude and asked me straight away, " Don't you wanna explore the world outside this sharpener? Don't you wanna know why some stationery and dolls are alive where others are not?"
I was dumbstruck! Yes! I want to!
" Yes! I Want To!"
"Then let's get out of here."
 HERE?
"HERE? What if Kenna doesn't find me in the morning? C'mon! I'm her sharpener!"
"SHE WILL--Forget it! We'll return before the sunrise. Happy?"
That's a good idea then!
She was cold though. "Ok," said she.

Here began my new chapter.
