Over the course of the next few weeks Raine got comfortable calling their home her home. Seungmin and Minho were the only 2 that still didn't want her there. They were the hardest to get to change their minds. She had many encounters with them, but they never gave her an opening. Seungmin was at least more passive with her than Minho. Minho terrified her. He confused her though. He did little things that seemed caring, but then said and did mean and scary things.

She had been introduced to Stay who loved her, but they respected that she wouldn't be in the spotlight too much until she wanted to be. Some of her bullies at school started trying to be her friend because of her being adopted by Stray Kids. Because of those bullies, Raine started listening to their songs. When summer break started, Raine stayed mostly in her room drawing or singing. She really liked to collect pretty rocks too. There had been a lot of moments where she felt like someone was watching her. Where she heard strange noises and saw glimpses of something moving outside her window, but she never said anything and let it go after it died down a bit.

When she finally got her boot off, she was finally able to run again. "Freedom!!" She screamed as she ran around the house outside. Felix and Hyunjin laughed at her, enjoying seeing her being a kid. "That's an amazing sight." Jisung said as he stepped outside. "She was in literal agony with it on." Chan exclaimed as he exited right behind Jisung.

"She's really fast." Changbin observed from beside Felix. "Felix we need to talk later. About that." Felix nodded to Chan. "I have.. Some news. But not enough." He sighed. "Gahhh!" Raine laughed as Jeongin jumped out at her from around the corner. She was fast, but she wasn't fast enough.

Later that night, Raine was sent to the store with Seungmin. She didn't choose to, but most of the guys were at the studio either dancing or singing. Plus Chan had given her some money to get something for herself. Seungmin hardly said a word to her the entire time, almost ignoring her presence. He was surprised when she didn't act up or run off on her own.

She stayed pretty close to him until he went around to the other isle for a moment, leaving her to look at the candy on her own while he grabbed something to drink and eat. He was about to round the corner again to go back to her when he heard that same annoying voice from the orphanage. He stopped in his tracks.

"Well well well, look who's here! It's the little orphan freak who thinks she's hot shit because she got adopted by Stray Kids. You think you have a family now? Like you deserve a family. You're just a traumatized little girl who's daddy killed her mommy then abandoned her after he had his fun with her." Her and her friends laughed as Raine felt tears filling her eyes.

"Aww is the little baby going to cry?" Suddenly, the color drained from Raine's face. Her already pale skin turning even paler. Her eyes widened as her tears fell. Her gaze slowly moving up behind them. They turned around and screamed at the sudden presence of the person before it turned to excitement as they either couldn't or chose not to read the room.

"Oh my god! Seungmin! We love you! Can we get your autograph?!" Raine slowly took a step back. The look in his eyes was new to her. She had recieved plenty of scary glares from him but this was different. This was far worse. This was scarier. Then he smiled. But it wasn't a happy smile. "Do you ever shut up? Can you read a room or are you just stupid?" "Seung-" "I'm not done. Who are you to bully our daughter?She's an orphan? Aren't you also still in the orphanage? Where are your parents? How'd you get there?"

The girl stayed silent as tears started to fill her eyes. Raine didn't know what to do. Chan wasn't here to calm him down and at this rate Seungmin was going to lose fans. She could see that Seungmin had more to say, and as satisfying as that would be she still felt the need to protect Stray Kids image. She slowly walked past the girls, up to him. She gently tugged on his sleeve.
