Part 7

Serenity:

I wake up with no idea how long I had been sleep. I sit up and look around to realize i'm at my brothers house. Ohhhhh... Well then why'd he invite me over? I get up and go downstairs. I look out the window. His car isn't there. I pick up my phone and dial his number.

"Wassup shorty?" He says after the second ring.

"Where You At Yo?"

"I just left work. I'm about to pick up something to eat then I'll be home."

"OK.bye." I said before hanging up the phone.

I sat on the couch and started trying to get my thoughts together. A lot had went down in the last few weeks. My soul mate gave up on me apparently found somebody else. I'm at my brother's house with no clothes ( Courtesy of his dumb ass ).I had to figure out how I was going to help Khari, And I don't know what i'm going to do from here. Caught in deep thought I failed to hear my brother enter the house. "Get up yo, been sleep since yesterday morning. Damn." I got up nd followed the scent of chipotle into the kitchen. He got me a bowl filled with all my favorite stuff. We sat down and began to eat. Halfway through his meal he looked up and asked me mid-bite.. "So what you gone do bout ole dude? What was his name again?" I leaned back in my chair. Appetite gone. "His name," I said before clearing my throat and taking a long drink of water. "is Chris. DumbAss." His Head snapped back in suprise of my sensitivity towards question. "Well Excuseeeeeee me." He said laughing.

Chris's P.O.V.

Yo. Yes it's me. the no named heart throb. Aheh. But anyway. I miss Serenity Sooo much. I know I dont act like it but I don't know how to cope other than find a distraction to keep my mind off of her. My distraction's name is Diamond. She's an old flame from high school that never really got over me. She's no where near as loving as Serenity, and the sex ain't no where near as bomb. Just saying. aheh. I wanna go back to her but Diamond won't let me go. And if i do my bro's gone be all on my back.... Matter of fact? Fuck them. Imma get my girl back and show her how much I really love her. I've been wanting a mini me for a while now. And it may be time to take that jump.

Serenity's P.O.V.

"But anyway I Don't Know..." I said finally answering his question." He looked at me. I could tell by the look on his face he knew I was lyingthen turned around and sat back down.

"Wellllll All I Know Is you ain't got time to be doin nothin' stupid so remeber what the judge said the last time you was there." As D said that all the memories flashed through my mind.

"THE NEXT TIME I SEE YOUR FACE YOUR LOCKED IN FOR 20 YEARS!!!!"

I put my head in my hands as the thought of it always gave me migrains. "Thanks for reminding me of how I almost ruined my life. BIG BRO." I said as he leaned back and laughed nonchalantly. He really didn't realize how serious I was about all of this. I got up from the table and threw my stuff away. I sat back down and stared at him for a minute. "....So when you gone take me to go get my shit?"

"Oh!" He said laughing . "Come on girl. And you stayin wit me for a week so pack accordingly." I punched him in his back and ran to the car. He followed behind me and got in the drivers seat. "You gone regret it." He said laughing before cranking up the car and pulling off.

"Aye Serenity call me when you done, I gotta roll thru my homie house real quick down the street." D called before walking out the door.

I sat down on my bed and picked up a picture of me and Chris from our 1 year anniversary. I missed him so much. Before I knew it the memories became overwhelming and I began to cry. Hard. I sat there trying to get myself together for 15 minutes before the tears stopped flowing. I put the picture in my suitcase and went downstairs to get a drink. As I closed the refridgerator I heard the front door close. When I turned around I saw D and his friend. Drew. I turned around and acted like I hadn't noticed. "Wassup ma?" Drew called from the living room. "Nothing Pa." I said. It had been our little joke since I was young. I've always been strongly attrscted to him. But I had Chris and before tht at he always had some ho attatched to him at the hip.

"You bout done lil girl?" D asked. Ugh. I hated when he called me that around his friends. "No.." i said. I knew he was ready to go home. "Damn girl watchu been doin man??" He said raising his voice. I put my head down and just walked back to my room. I was almost done anyway. He followed me to my room. "He sat down on te bed and talked to me as i packed. "Drew gone be staying with me for a minute so you gone sleep in my room while he get the guest. Ok?" My heart jumped at thought of seeing him shirtless. "Aight." I said zipping up my suitcase and throwing some shoes into a bag. "OK. I'm done." I say as he picks up my bags and heads to the car.

"Come on Drew," He says as we walk to the door. I wait till everybody is out and lock the door.

I got in the backseat and leaned my head back as we drove. The smallest things made me so tired lately. I can probably fix that by going to the gym next week.

Just as I was nodding off, D turns the music all the way up and starts rapping along to 'Fxck up some commas' by future. Wide awake now, I check my phone. 12:35 A.M. I look at my unread rexts. All of them are from Chris. "Baby please Im sorry." "Yhu busy? I wanna see you." "Sooooo when yhu gone text me back.?'' "Ayo forget it, I tried.". Ugh. I throw my phone to the side and look out the windiw. Coincidentally, I see chris and some girl with purple hair walking out of a restaraunt. I know who that is as soon as I see her face. Diamond. Chris's Ex-Girlfriend from the 10th grade. Wow. So he really did settle for less. I laugh and shake my head as the light changes and we pull off.

When we get home I go straight to the back and take a much needed shower. I stayed in till there was no hot water left. I got out and got ready fro bed. i planned to sleep for a while. When I walked out the bathroom I heard the boys downstairs playing madden or whatever it is they play. I got in Mendeecee's bed and and laid my head on the biggest pillow. A state of relaxation waved over my body as I slowly drifted off to sleep.
