Once Trever came back, he looked dead inside. His eyes lost their iconic shine and his face drooped as if it was going to fall to the floor. "Trever, where's Pluto?" Kenzie asked. Nothing. Not a word was said. He just kept walking until he got to Cassidy. He looked at her and she looked at him, their faces telling it all. She was dead, never to come back again. Tears welled in his eyes as he collapsed onto Cassidy, sobbing loudly into her chest. Mei Ying had lost yet another part of her, the part that practically was her second half. Pluto supported her throughout all the commotion and the pain of Chassity's death. She was her best friend, and now she's gone. She couldn't bear living without her and rushed to the closet in tears. That was the only place she felt okay crying in. The bathroom was dirty, and she didn't feel like going to the room upstairs in fear of the killer somehow getting her while she was alone and vulnerable. She sat in the closet and sobbed while the others talked about what they would do next. Mei Ying cried until her tears were enough to make an 8th ocean. She had no one else to look up to. She lost the only things keeping her here, and now that they were gone

what was the point of being here anymore?

She tried to shake the thought of suicide, but the more she tried, the worse it got. It got so bad to the point that she felt as if she just gave in to the thought, she would have been set free. And that's what she planned to do. She moved around and looked for her dagger that she had in her bag. She came across an orange bag, her orange bag. She unzipped it and saw her sheath, but no dagger. Since she assumed she still had it, she dug around carefully as to not cut herself since the sheath had come off. She felt something poke her hand. This was it. But when she pulled it out, it wasn't a dagger. It was a raspberry-peach flavored.. vape? But she doesn't vape. That's when she realized that it wasn't her's, it was Kenzie's. The bag was Kenzie's. But why did she have her sheath? She rummaged around some more to see if she had the dagger too, but instead she saw Kenzie's diary. She knew snooping was wrong, so she said that she'd only look at one page. When she opened the book, she saw the picture of the Cat Cafe they went to last year. Mei Ying laughed at the memories. All 4 of them were there, Chassity, Kenzie, Pluto, and.. wait. She wasn't in the photo. But she swore she had gone.

She flipped to another page and saw another picture, the time when they went to help out at a construction site. Once again, she wasn't in the picture. This time, she knew she was supposed to be there. She remembered this because Pluto described the picture as something taken moments before disaster due to the fact that she had found a jackhammer right after the picture was taken, causing chaos when she found out how to use it. She continued flipping, coming to the conclusion that someone was cropping her out of the photos. She wanted to believe that it was someone else, not Kenzie. She kept turning the pages until she came across a recent page, one with no photos. The page read:

"Hello, diary. We've come a long way, huh? With all the drama, fake friends, and cheating, you've always been there. You're ten times better than that fake ass bitch, "mEi YiNg". A sneaky, slippery snake. A liar and a cheat. "Bimbo" is far from the word.  She's your stereotypical dumb blonde, even if her natural hair is black. She's ugly and dumb, can you imagine? She clings onto Pluto, she's always breathing down her neck. I can't imagine what Chassity has to go through. Mei Ying has always wanted to be her but better. She even dyed her hair to look like hers! To be honest, I'm only friends with her because Chassity's my friend and I don't wanna be a bitch to Mei in front of her."

Tears came to her eyes as she read the paragraph. She didn't even need to read the rest of the page to know her own friend despised her. The friend she's known since 2nd grade. The person she told everything to. She didn't want to see more, but despite that, she flipped the page to one that was written not even an hour ago, when Chassity died.
