It was late night as I got a phone call,that all too familiar sound filling the room, making my body tense, as I went to answer, the call declined leaving me wondering who it was, 'unknown caller' I sighed heavily as I thought to myself 'silly prank calls', I checked the time seeming as it was bright outside. 'Shit shit shit' I threw myself out of bed running to the bathroom, I looked at myself in the mirror realising I have no time or I'm going to be late for my new job,I chucked some makeup on and brushed my hair leaving it down, I threw some leggings and a polo shirt on with a blazer, as I ran to the door I slipped on black trainers and ran out to my car.
After 20 minutes of driving due to traffic I finally got parked, getting out of the car I dropped my folder leaving all my paperwork on the ground. "Shit!" I shouted falling to my knees and picking everything up as this large figure hovered over me, "hey do you need any help?" A deep voice said, I looked up to see a tall manly figure with dark hair looking down at me. "Oh Uhm it's okay you don't have to" I said looking at my watch as my face dropped "here let me help" he said as he lent down picking up my papers, "thank you so much" I said in a rushed tone, "hey, it's okay" he said calmly looking at me, my stomach turned at the smell of his cologne, I smiled at him "Colby" he said reaching his hand out to shake mine , I put my hand out shaking his "y/n" I said as we both stood, I smiled "look I'm so thankful but I'm really in a rush" I said closing my folder "hey no worries can I maybe get your number?" "Uh yeah give me your phone" I said rushing as he passed it over. "Here" i gave his phone back locking my car "hey I'll text you" he said, I nodded as I waved goodbye, running up the stairs.
I knocked on the door as a beautiful blonde woman opened the door. "Oh hey are you y/n, the new editor?" She asked "hey! Yes I am! I'm so sorry I'm late it's a long story" I said pushing my hair behind my ear "its no problem at all, I love your blazer by the way" she smiled "thank you so much your hair is so beautiful" "oh thank you so much, come on in" she said as I walked in smiling "I'm kris by the way" I looked back and smiled, "this is Colby" she said, my stomach dropped as I looked up realising it was the guy from the car park. "Hi! I'm y/n" I said pretending I haven't met him before "hi y/n I'm Colby" he smiled as I felt relieved knowing he knew to play along. After a few minutes I was introduced to everyone "hey y/n why don't u sit next to Colby" said Selena. I smiled "sure" I sat down next to him my stomach turning as our knees touched.
"So I was thinking we should introduce y/n in our new video?" Said kris "sure I'm okay with that as long as your guys are" I replied "sure I'd be happy to" Sam said. Colby nodded looking at me smiling. After a while of talking i suddenly felt a hand moving around my waist giving me butterflies as I looked up and Colby knowing it was his hand. "So guys I should get going if I wanna be on time tomorrow" I chuckled "haha okay it was lovely to meet you y/n" kris said "you too, bye guys" I smiled "I'm gonna get going to guys. Bye" Colby said following me out the door "hey y/n" he said as we was walking down the stairs together "yeah?" I replied "I'm gonna pick you up tomorrow" "oh okay sure what time?" "How about 7? We can get coffee before" "sure" I said getting into my car "I'll see you tomorrow" I waved "bye y/n" he shouted from his car.
As I was getting ready for bed I couldn't stop thinking about Colby, he's so handsome and nice he's the sweetest person I've ever met he's perfect.
The next morning as I stepped out the shower I grabbed a towel and wrapped it around me as the door knocked 'shit is it already 7?' I thought to myself I opened the door and Colby was stood there "oh sorry is this a bad time?" He said looking me up and down "oh hey is it already 7?" I asked "uh.. huh.. oh no it's half 6 I thought I'd come a bit early" he said unfocused "come in I'll be out in a minute" I said letting him in as he sat on the couch, I walked over to the bathroom and changed into short shorts and a crop top and brushed out my soaking wet hair, I walked out the bathroom to Colby sitting on his phone as he looked up "hey sorry for making you wait you ready to go get coffee?" I asked "uh yeah let's go" Colby replied biting his lip as we walked out the door.
Colby opened the car door to the passenger side, I sat down in the car as my phone called, Colby sat intimate the drivers seat. "I'm really sorry can I take this?" I asked "of course go ahead", I answered the phone to my sister screaming at me "perestan' na menya krichat', ya ponimayu, ya budu u mamy posle raboty, pozhaluysta, perestan' krichat" (stop screaming at me i get it ill be at mums after work please stop shouting ) I said calmly down the phone as I hung up. "Your Russian?" Colby asked "well my mum is and my sister speaks it so yeah I guess" I answered as he parked at the cafe "that's so cool" he smiled as we got out the car.
"What do you want?" He asked as we were next in line to order "oh probably just a flat white" I answered "okay I'll pay" he replied "hey no! I'll buy my own thing don't waste your money on me" I said as he put his finger to my lips. As we walked to the front "hey man I'll have a black coffee and my gi- friend will have a flat white" he stuttered I gulped ,as the man at the counter smiled at us "of course man that will be £7.45 please" he said as Colby payed "Colby! I said no paying!" "Too late now" he chuckled as I slapped his arm "come on" he said as he dragged me to a table and pulled a chair out for me. I smiled at him as I sat down the cold chair cooling down my thighs, he sat down next to me as we talked for a while as we drank our coffees "oh hey it's almost 8 we should get going" he said and he moved his chair out his leg brushing against mine.
