When I get home, my mom is already waiting for me and she starts asking questions before I even close the door. I only hear a lot of noises and nonsense words as I get to the hall.
- Mom, would you mind asking each question one by one? -I say while I leave my bag in the entrance.
- Oh, yeah, sorry darling. Well, first question: did you have fun?
- Yes, and before you even ask, they were all nice to me.- I open the kitchen door and go to the counter.
- I knew Lana was a nice girl.
- There were more people apart from Lana.- I explain pouring myself a glass of juice.
- Yeah?- she looks at me with a smirk on her face.- And who are they?
- Will, Chase and Sam.
- Okay, I'll try to keep them in mind, just if you decide to show them around someday.- She says with a proud smile.
- Fine.- I say going to the living room. I sit on the sofa. I really don't think she'll remember their names, but I don't mind by now.
A couple of minutes pass and my mom sits beside me.
- Do you want to watch a film?- she asks me.
I nod.
The microwave starts beeping and she goes back to the kitchen.
When she leaves, I grab the remote and start searching the film that the four of us used to watch on repeat most of the time but then I remember Cassie and why we used to watch it so many times. It was because she loved it and she wouldn't let us watch anything else.
I delete what I was writing before my mom comes back. She sits down and I cross my fingers for her to not notice.
She smiles at me and I let her choose now because I don't think I'll be able to stop thinking about her.
