SOLSTICE
This is the prophecy of a girl, born of blood and terror. A small drop of light glowed inside her against the darkness she had been filled with. The boy she loved, running from the circle. The mothers encircled her, feeding her the entrails of the fallen Being. This would be the strength that would guide her back to the boy.
They told her she would be going out into the world with new eyes, to retrieve the boy and claim her absolute power. She was to be the one to rise up with his death. The girl would be the voice, awakening the fallen. The girl would be worshiped bringing the dawn of an age of ice and death.
The girl had to choose this, and the boy's life must be taken. He was unaware of the path he walked, or the trail he left behind. The girl would have to overcome old magic and relearn everything she had been taught in The Circle once she left the glimmer.
The mothers told her as she left, they would always walk with her. As the girl left the glimmer these words turned to smoke. A woman walked with her, and something else in the forest watched. The woman took her west, leaving her at a strange building. The woman kissed the girl's head and smudged something warm and wet on her palm. It left no mark. She motioned for the girl to knock on the door, and she did. A woman answered, she smelled of sugar and cinnamon, and wore a smile of hope. She asked where the girl came from. When the girl turned around to point at the woman who told her to knock, she was gone. The girl looked at the woman and shrugged. The woman stepped out of the door and looked around for signs of who left this child behind. Content there was no one, the woman put her arm around the girl and led her inside. This woman helped the girl find a new family. This family would take her where she needed to be, to the place where she would rise.
One day, the girl met the boy, though she didn't know who he was yet. Something dark and magical stirred inside her, a seed planted in her heart that would grow and blossom into something both vengeful and beautiful. Until then she would love the boy every second until the time came, to bask in his violent downfall and her rise to rule.
