The Heartbreak Between Vasilisa and Valeriy

Part 1: The Last Practice Session Together

Vasilisa's Pov:
It was just a normal, regular cold day of Russia, where me and Valeriy were practicing for the next competition.
I was not expecting this to be the last practice session with him...
All these practice sessions, he has kissed me, quite a lot...
It was part of our routines.

Coach Anjelika: ONE, TWO, THREE, HEY!! DONT MESS UP NOW!!
We both sighed, panting as we stared at eachother, blushing.
This was a disaster.
He had recently gotten a new girlfriend, Polina.
And this practice session was a shitshow.

Me and Valeriy had practiced the flip again, and the skating turns.
It was all tiring.
Valeriy: Ugh... I cant handle this anymore... It's too tiring...
I heard him say.
He began to curse a bunch of Russian bad words, seeming angry with himself.
I stared at him, blinking.
I've never seen him this angry...

Valeriy's Pov:
I couldn't handle this anymore.
I couldn't handle Vas, and I couldn't handle skating.
It was all too tiring.
Yes, I loved kissing her for the routines, but at the same time, I had a girlfriend, so this all fucking sucked.
Nothing was going to be okay between me and Vas anymore...
I had chose her as my skating partner, but now, I had regret it...
I was being too clingy to her while we were dating, and she has lost feelings for me...

Vasilisa's Pov:
I couldn't tell how Val was feeling right now, but whatever it was, it was not good.
It was definitely about me, and our relationship.
He was angry with me for not giving him enough attention while we dated...
That was probably the reason he had began to date Polina...
I sighed.
I had to talk to him after practice...
He could not be feeling this way...

After 2 long hours of skating...
We both sighed, going to the end of the rink.
Coach Anjelika both praised us, and then I sighed, turning to Valeriy.
Vasilisa: What was that all about?
Valeriy sighs as he turns to me, blushing.
Valeriy: It was nothing...
I sigh, staring at him, frowning that he had lied.
Vasilisa: Val... Talk to me... I know you're lying...
Val sighs.
Valeriy: Look... I'm not sure if we should continue this partnership anymore...
I stare at him, shocked.
Vasilisa: Why?!?!
Val sighs.
Valeriy: You have lost feelings for me during our relationship... It made me sad, so I started dating Polina...
I sighed, staring at him, frowning.
Vasilisa: Val... I don't want you to feel that way... I do still have feelings for you... It's just... I don't know...

Valeriy's Pov:
I sighed as I stared at her, frowning.
Valeriy: What, Vas? Is it that I was too clingy for you??
Vas sighs as she looks down, sad.
She doesn't want to agree with it...
She wants me to stay...
Vasilisa: That might've been the answer, but... I really want you to stay, Val... We've been friends for five years now... And we won so much competitions together... I'm going to miss being with you...
I sigh, frowning as I stare at her, blushing and sad.
Valeriy: Vas... Ive never seen you this emotional before... I'm sorry, but we have to break up...
Vasilisa: ... What...
I nodded, sighing.
Valeriy: It's not good for the convenience of my current relationship with Polina... You know... With all this kissing and stuff... I don't think she likes that...
Vas sighs as she stares at me, sad.
Vasilisa: You can't be doing this to me right now, Val... Please...
I nodded, sighing and looking down sadly.
Valeriy: I'm sorry...

Just then, Coach Anjelika stares at me, shocked.
Coach Anjelika: Seriously, Valeriy? You're leaving your best partner? How could you...
I nodded, sighing.
Valeriy: I'm sorry... But I have to stay loyal to my girlfriend...
Coach Anjelika: ... That doesn't mean you should just betray Vasilisa... You're betraying me, too...
I sighed.
Valeriy: I'm sorry...

Vasilisa's Pov:
Just then, he pulled out a stupid contract from his pocket.
Me and Coach Anjelika both sighed, reading it.

"If you don't pay for my skating needs, we will no longer skate together..."
I sighed.
He was really doing this to me...
Coach Anjelika sighs, shaking her head.
Coach Anjelika: You know that stuff is expensive, Valeriy...
Val nods, sighing.
Valeriy: Yeah, but I have to do it. I'll give you to September 1st to sign it.
I blinked, sighing, and he left.
Me and Coach Anjelika both stared at eachother, confused.
Coach Anjelika: He really-
I nodded,'sighing.
Vasilisa: Yup0, he did, and I am NOT signing this contract.
Coach Anjelika nods, staring at me, sighing.
Coach Anjelika: Don't worry about the contract, Vasilisa. I will find a way to get him back...
I nodded, sighing, and left.

I went home, where I showed my parents this contract, and they both sighed.
Vasilisa's Mom: I do not agree with signing this... That boy is stupid... I wonder what has gotten into his brain... Leaving you like that...
I nodded, sighing.
Vasilisa: He said he wanted to be loyal to his girlfriend... And that all this kissing was just too much... And that I didn't give him enough attention during our relationship, and that I had lost feelings for him...
Vasilisa's Dad: ...
Vasilisa's Dad: He's such a сука. There is NOO way we are going to sign that contract. Matter of fact, I want to dump it in the trash. I want it to be forever gone. No one is going to pay for that. It's way too expensive. Ugh...
I nodded, sighing.
Vasilisa's Mom: What are you going to do about your partner? Valeriy doesn't want to anymore... It's a shame, really, because you guys have been friends for five years, and won so many competitions together...
I nodded, sighing.

Valeriy's Pov:
At home, I had sighed.
I wasn't sure if this was the right decision to make...
Vas seemed so sad for me to go...
I've never seen her this emotional before...
She's usually very happy...
I know I have hurt her if she's actually sad...
She looked like she was about to cry...
I shook my head, sighing.
Valeriy: No. I was not going to let this happen to me...
Finally, my parents came home from work, and it was time for dinner.
I had told them about the contract, and neither of them seemed to like the idea of it, either.
Except my mom.
She had agreed that I had kissed her too much despite being in a relationship...
Valeriy's Dad: As long as you don't get her pregnant, that's fine... If you do, then this is the worst decision I've ever seen you make...
I nodded, sighing.
