Harmony POV
I felt everyone's tension. My own worry buzzed through my frame. Space mouse nuzzled against my neck, her fur tickled my neck cables.
~How do we react?~ Flares voice vibrated through my door wings.
~I'm not sure.~ Siege shakes his helm.
~Well whatever you decide to do let us know. We're recharging.~ Eclipse stood, her wings brushed against the chair.
~I'll catch up.~ Wavelength hummed.
I listen as Eclipse leaves the room. She carries a lot of worry on her shoulders. You can hear in the way she walks. I think she's often nervous her experiences won't be enough to help. It's something I noticed about my new friends. Siege carries a lot of burdens for n his shoulders. He takes his role as oldest brother seriously. I worry he might take it to far out of fear. Flare carries a lot of insecurities. His excited and chirpy attitude seems to a cover for that. He doesn't say a lot of what he thinks. And he's probably smarter than Solar and Wavelength! Solar carries a lot of confusion. He wants to make his Sire and Carrier/Uncle proud, but he doesn't want to follow the paths they expect him to. Wavelength carries a lot of anger and shame. I don't think he knows he has the support to leave those feelings behind him.
~Why stay behind?~ Flare asked.
~Eclipse is curious if me and Solar would be able to swim into the mines. It's possible there might be some energon.~ Wavelengths voice was weak through my wings.
~It's a possibly. We'll talk about and get back to you.~ Solar urge him to go sleep.
~Yeah, I'd like that.~ Wavelength yawned.
His pedsteps echoed down the hall and brushed against my deaf audios.
*What do you think they saw?* I ask, looking up in Solars direction.
~There's no telling. But it t clearly freaked them out.~
~I still can't believe they left the ship.~ Siege let out a heavy sigh.
~I'm not surprised. Wavelength can be fairly impulsive, especially when his simulations aren't giving him any answers. And Eclipse would give her spark to help him.~ Flare added, crouching down next to me to pet Space Mouce.
~She would. That has me worried on occasion.~ Siege hummed. The sound made my wings flick.
*Why's that?* I ask curiously.
I kept my helm still as I feel Space Mouse climb up.
~The two have a connection.~ I hear Solar shrug. ~I don't think either have noticed. And if they have they haven't connected any dots.~
I pause, curious what that meant.
*Will you attempt the mine?*
The three fall quite, more than likely exchanging glances. By the way their metal was moving it was concern, worry, curiosity, and skepticism. It's interesting. Nothing was said. But from how the metal sounds when moving and where it's moving on the frame, I know exactly what their body language is saying.
~We would need to land the ship over the mine. Use the sonar system for a better tunnel reading.~ Solar started.
~From there we could have a plot charted. Eclipse has explored plenty of caves on 4 of 5 of Cybertrons layers. She'd be able to do that.~ Flare offered. "After that you two could take a lot of low risk trips.~
Flare tried making his previous sentence sound casual. He was easy going and carefree in nature. I don't see why he was scared that conflicted with his intelligence. It's no wonder he always mixes up information.
~That you could. Bring back only what you can safely carry. Even if it takes all week.~ Siege advised, fixing his position to stand straight.
He stands with to much stiffness. He was to in his helm about being the protector. It didn't help that Solar was indecisive in his worries. It wiped to think, but that can't always be done.
*While I agree with Siege's sentiment of safety, we are going to end up dangerously close to a ship with no energon. I think we should risk the mine.* I quickly point out fuel reserves.
~She's right. We won't have enough to leave the planet soon if we want enough to survive longer.~ Solar sighed, slumping into his chair.
~Then what's the call?~ Flare asked.
Solar paused for a minute. ~I think we should. Any bit of energon will be worth it.~
~And the risk of it?~ Siege made not of that part.
~You seekers will stand guard at our entry point. Harmony will stay inside the cargo hold within the seekers view and monitor the systems. ~ Solar started lining everything out. ~Wavelength and I will retrieve what we can.~
I smile. This is the confident team I knew.
