Chapter 1 I:20 PM
As I looked out the foggy window of my Ford Fusion, which happened to be a 2016 model, I saw a dead decapitated rabbit. I swiftly thought about the pain and the all the memories passing through it's head in its last moments. And then I thought of the quick and maybe painless death from a hard, hard life for a small creature. But then I said to myself, " life's not easy, but it's not too hard."

Chapter 2 2:30 PM
I arrived at the hospital at their regular visiting hours: 2:00-8:30. They gave me a card with a four digit number written in purple ink. The handwriting seemed almost too perfect to be achieved by an ordinary human hand. Anyway, the number was 3969. That was my brothers room number. He had stage 2 leukemia. And I had to look after him ever since my parents died 5 years ago in an "accident", at least that's what the fbi told me. But then I was too young to make assumptions. I was 12, but still more mature than all the other kids in Riverside township middle and high school. I arrived at the elevator and pressed the up arrow. There was a poster saying keep fighting, it will be worth it. I hated the cheesiness of this children's hospital. My brothers name is James LeCardo, and now would probably be a good time to tell you my name. I am Alex LeCardo, the kid who got arrested for beating up two kids who made fun of my brothers baldness. Right now James thinks it's normal to be bald. But he's only 8 years old. I'm 17. I hate it how most people want to hide their children or siblings from reality. Because when they find out, it will be a hard slap in the face.

Chapter 3 2:40 PM
"Hey dingus." James sounded more tired ever since he started getting double the amount of chemotherapy than before.
"How's life?" I asked.
"Ok." He responded.
"I got you a gift and I think you'll really like it, close your eyes!" I said as I reached in my worn out hiking backpack and grabbed a 500 page book on dinosaurs. James's whole hospital room was themed after dinosaurs.
" can I open my eyes Alex?" James said impatiently.
" yes!" I yelped
He gasped and immediately opened it and started reading it. I let him be.

Chapter 4 4:12 PM
I still had community service for what I did to those two teenagers. It's crazy to think about how your parents tell you to defend yourself and when you do, you get in trouble. I went from the hospital to the public park with lots of oak trees. The spread of the branches reminded me on how free they are to move around when we humans are programmed to fit in and be like everyone else. Live under the same laws and be restricted from the freedom we could have. I grabbed my trash pick and started right away. Don't want to get on the policemen's bad side. As I picked up a crushed can of "Coke Zero" I saw Morgan. Boy oh boy was she something. She didn't do anything bad. She volunteered. That's why she got out early every day. She does this for their confirmation I think. I know, I know she is too young for me. She is just so, so, so likable. She has bright red hair with streaks of blonde. Sort of like Anna from "frozen".
"Alex! Get back to work!" The guard Hollered.

Chapter 5 5:30 PM
I came home to my apartment at 5:30 AM and made myself some "stouffer's Mac and cheese". Than I jerked open my laptop and searched: "Morgan Matthews". And there she was. She had an Instagram account with 2,563 followers. Make that 2,565. She was popular on social media. Very! This may be a little stalkerish but she is out seeing "Jurassic World". I saw it at midnight with my friend Xavier Martinez. He is the type of person who is always chill and never gets scared. He was in a gang. Lost a finger or two but he is a tough person. Right now he is in the hospital for messing with the wrong people. The Lopez gang. They've been after him for years! His father was a retired member of the Lopez gang. Most people in the gang have a blood tear drop tattoo. Why Martinez was a dumb son of a gun, I don't know. X is always like that. That's why i hang out with him. He has the same type of scar as me. On our chest from getting stabbed by guess who? Mr. Lopez himself! I was with X at the wrong time. That's a moment I'll never forget.

Chapter 6 6:30 AM
I woke up to my alarm on my phone. I pulled the sheets off my body and left them in a big clump. All wrinkled. I thought about how lucky we are to move around while inanimate objects are stuck in one place never to be used again. I went to my closet and grabbed my red and black flannel and my denim skinny jeans. I walked downstairs and got my red converse and got my watermelon juice and got my bulky keys. As I Entered the ford to go to Starbucks, I notice a smell. It was a very bitter smell. I immediately investigated. I opened my trunk and nothing was there. I closed it and continued my investigation. I checked under the car and there it was, a bloody knife and rabbit flesh. Written on it was: "driveeeeeeee." I quickly got In my car. It was the Lopez gang or some sick joke. I drove down oak drive and took a left on Harrison ave. I pulled up X's driveway and ran to his door. I knew he wasn't home but I needed some place to stay. And I knew the Garcias well.
" hi Alex, Xavier is at the hospital. Did I tell you?"
" this might seem crazy I need a place to stay! It's urgent! You in?"
" sure honey you can stay in Xavier's room. Feel at home.
" thank you!" I kissed her on the cheek. That's a popular thank you gesture in riverside township.

Chapter 7 7:02 AM
As I walked up the polished hardwood stairs, I look at the photos on the wall. I've never seen those before. X's room was obvious his door had caution tape on it and photos of me, him, and his girlfriend Abby. Abby was in California at her uncles house at the moment. Maybe I should call her and tell her the incident. Perhaps I didn't even tell you. He got stabbed 2 time in vital organs. He hangs out with the wrong people. Ha. Dumb ass. Not that it's funny, it's just this always happens. Life can be as easy as it is to play a video game if you make it easy.
It looks like his mom recently made his bed. I wish I have a mom to do my chores, pay the taxes, give me money instead of living on food stamps.

Chapter 8 8:37 AM
I walked out to my car to get my hair gel I always have. As I was walking out I was mrs Garcia crying.
" Alex, can I talk to you?"
" yes, what is it?"
" this will be as hard for you as it is for me."
" oh no."
" yes, Alex, Xaiver has passed away." I quickly got up and walked out to find Mario Manucho. He had a gun in his belt.
" come on! X just died! I've had enough of bad things!"
" he owed me money now I'm going to kill his mom for that!"
"damn it!" I got out my pocket knife I always have and threw it at his chest. He went down with a grunt. I had an unusual pounding in my temples. As I walked to my car I didn't even notice the scissors in my back. How did they get there? Oh my god! Mrs Martinez! She may have thought I was a robber with my pocket knife. It didn't do any damage. It was just cold.

Chapter 9 9:45 PM
As soon as I got home I took a shower to get the blood off of me. I threw the knife so it wouldn't kill him, it would just hurt. Sort of like how mr Lopez stabbed me.
All I could think about was how Mario would be after me. Although I don't know if he knows were I live. I also don't know if he was the person who put the knife a rabbit flesh. Right now, I was not free. I was a slave.
