Fire boy & water boy ?

Can opposites really attract?🌊🔥

Giyuu had always noticed how distant the other hashira are, how they whispered when he walked past or how iguro and sanemi gave dirty looks and laughed to one another, but this didn't bother him, they where all distant for a reason.
Tomioka didn't want anyone to get close, he kept his distance for a reason and he was content with how they viewed him, in fact he believed he wasn't even worthy to stand by their side as a equal, he always knew he was lesser.
But, despite all this, despite constantly pushing away and distancing himself from those around him, it seemed one hashira didn't get it as easily and was determined to stay.
Kyojuro Rengoku, a beloved hashira, well know for his amazing attitude and kind nature, all hashira adored him but some thought he could be a bit too much now and then.
Despite his amazing reputation and "flamboyant" personality- as Uzui would say- giyuu could not quite understand why he insisted on trying to be friends.
Rengoku had always seemed the opposite of giyuu, cheerful, loud, bright, outgoing, social, and much more likable (in terms of other hashira opinions) in giyuu eyes, he was the pinnacle of perfection, what every hashira should be, and it seemed even the others would agree on this. So with all that said, why? Why of all people did he wanna be friends with Tomika giyuu, know for his reserved, quiet, non-social, uninterested personality.
Giyuu couldn't help but be slightly annoyed by this, he had tried so hard to get the flame hashira to stop trying but it seemed to only fuel then man's desire to constantly worry and care for the water hashira.
Just as their titles said, they were basically like opposites, Rengoku burned like the bright burning embers of a mighty fire that wrapped and consumed everything in its path spreading its heat and warmth. Tomioka was just like water, water always had a way of avoiding things by simply building a path around it, it flowed freely but remained trapped in the constant stream it traveled through.
With all this said, what could possible happen? They do often say opposites attract, could that really be true? Or is it all just hopeful wishing?

(If you are thrown off by this sudden post, I'm a multi-shipper so there is times I'll take a break from one ship, I'll be posting this because this is one of my favorites, for me it gives a sort of yin-yang and I've always adored the concept. Hope you enjoy /this is the intro/)
