Sophie tossed and turned in bed, bunching up her sheets so that half were on the floor carpet that stretched across her room.

"Why can't I just have a normal sleep for one night of the year." She said with a grunt.

Almost on cue, Sandor rushed in. Startling Sophie out of her skin, causing her to end up on the floor.

"Sorry Miss Foster," said a high pitched squeaky voice that belonged to a seven foot tall goblin warrior.

"It's ok Sandor."

"Did you need Flori to sing to you?" Asked a genuinely concerned Sandor.

"No. No. Im fine. Really."

At that Sandor left her to her thoughts.

Maybe I can call Keefe!

Without a second hesitation she reached for her imparted and called him. Realising too late that it was one-thirty in the morning and he was probably asleep, until a familiar face filled the screen.

"Hey Foster, what's up." Keefe asked with purple bruises under his eyes and a serious case of bed hair.

"Sorry for waking you, I just— I couldn't sleep and I figured maybe you were awake and that I could talk to you." Sophie said, her voice sounding dry and crackly from the lack of sleep.

"Foster there is nothing to be sorry about. I will always be here if you need me, besides I've been up for hours working on a prank with Ro for a certain someone. Who is definitely most certainly not my dad. Ok but really it's for him and boy is he gonna get a surprise when he wakes up." Laughed Keefe wiping a tear of joy from his face.

"Ok then." Sophie stammered. "Do you think you'd be able to come over you know to fill the loneliness."

"Don't you think you're going anywhere without me Hunkyhair," exclaimed Ro stepping into the screen on Sophie's imparter. She jumped slightly at the sight of the ogre princess. It had been almost two years since Ro's appearance in the Lost Cities and not many people had calmed down about the fact that there was an OGRE LIVING IN THE LOST CITIES including Sophie sadly.

"Did your hear all of that Ro?"Sophie asked.

"Well yes blondy, that kind of is my job, stopping your boy," she said gesturing to Keefe, "from doing anything reckless and stupid, and yes that does mean eavesdropping on conversations."

"...excuse us Foster, Sparkle Queen and I need to have a chat about something real quick be over soon," Keefe said with his infamous smirk on.

"Don't let Biana hear you calling Ro 'Sparkle Queen' or she might literally kill you." Sophie joked with a glint in her eye. "Meet at the panacakes tree."

Her imparter screen clicked off, leaving Sophie in pitch black darkness. She turned on her desk lap which was just bright enough to let her see but not bright enough that Sandor would come barging in. She made a mental check list in her mind of the things she would take to the panacakes tree.

Pillows, check. Rugs, check. Cinnamon crème, check.

She picked up everything and with her arms full still managed to open the door and collided with a wall of muscle. She was flung back and landed on her bottom, dropping the things she was holding, making a huge mess and an earthquake upstairs.

Ugh, could things get any worse. Actually they probably could, Grady and Edaline could  wake up and then you would have to explain to Grady that you were going to the panacakes tree but then you'd have to tell him about Keefe then you'd have to listen to Grady rant on about THAT BOY. Her brain ranted.
