Another late evening at the Port Mafia headquarters. People would like to call it a quiet one, yet two males arguing shattered that hope.
"You're a fucking asshole with your useless anticipations in missions!"
A ranting red-haired male shouted while walking in the hallway, next to a taller brunet who argued right back at him.
"I told you I'd get to you in time, Chuuya. Besides, as we both see, you're still perfectly fine after using corruption anyway. All you needed was a little rest."
"I was out for two days, Mackerel. I don't suppose that's considered a 'little rest.'"
Chuuya spat at him, looking seriously pissed. The two of them were sent on a mission yet again to pulverize an opposing group to the mafia. However, this time the situation had taken a turn for the worse and Soukoku had to rely on Chuuya's corruption to save the mission.
The two of them kept arguing as they walked through the corridor. Chuuya's eyes pierced at Dazai. This wasn't the first time it had happened, and the Chibi was certainly not pleased by the possibility of it happening again.
"Oh come on, I was only toying around a little. You know I won't let you die, otherwise I'd have no one else to annoy!"
The brunet explained, looking back at the sharp ocean blue eyes penetrating him. He knew his calculations had been off lately, yet would never admit that to the Chibi. The walls the brunet had fictitiously built around him refused to let him do so.
"Tsk, why should I even bother? Knowing you, you're not gonna change just at my words. You're too stubborn for that."
"Finally my dog realizes who the boss is! I'll make sure to get to you a little earlier next time as treat for your obedience."
The brunet teased with a smile to add to the ginger's irritation. The comment had surely ticked the smaller mafioso off, that was to see at his expression. You might even say you could see a vein pop in the ginger's face.
"I'm not your fucking dog! Treat me like a human being, will you? And to hell with you 'saving me' when using corruption! You simply see me as yet another toy in your little game!"
He was done with Dazai simply using him for his own entertainment, and wouldn't stand for it much longer. Chuuya shouted the words without much thought, until the next sentence, which until today he still doesn't know was reasonable.
"Oh! But how could you even treat me like a human being? You're not even one yourself! You'd never have the capability of understanding any human emotion!"
As soon as it came out, he realized how out of proportion the comment was in the situation, but apologizing wasn't in either one of their dictionaries. The brunet recalled the words in his mind, and his teasing demeanor faded the same moment. The sound of his footsteps stopped as he replied to the Chibi who insulted him.
"Me? Not a human being? If I recall correctly, you're the one without a proper human body and soul, not even having the capability to dream. 2,383 lines of code is all you are."
His monotone voice made his comment seem all the more triggering. Chuuya's eyes widened as he took in what the brunet said. There was an awkward and sharp silence, as the both of them stood opposing each other, with nothing more than the sound of Chuuya's shuddering breath as he witheld his anger.
"Fucking asshole."
Is all he said, while stomping through the end of the corridor and slamming the door with great force. Dazai stood and watched as the door closed with a bang, his eyes seemingly empty, and the fictitious walls protecting him from emotions slowly crumbling at the guilt.

Keys rattled at the door of Chuuya's apartment as he stomped in. He threw himself on the couch and let out a frustrated sigh while rubbing a hand down his face. Picking his phone out of his pocket, he started answering important e-mails for his job as executive, and to get his mind of the brunet.
After answering only a few of the e-mails he had received, he put away his phone with an annoyed groan. The annoying mackerel didn't get out of his mind so easily.
"If that idiot just used his emotions for once, I could actually like him."
He muttered to himself. Only to actually realize what he said a few seconds later. Like him? No way a person could actually like that bandaged freak. With that thought, he stood up and decided he needed a drink. That stupid freak had infiltrated his mind too much, and the best way to forget is a good drink at his favorite bar down the street.
