Allison's POV
The morning passed quickly.
It turned to noon in a blink of an eye and before we even noticed so, it was Saturday night.
Michael and I lay on the hood of his car, now staring into the night sky, eating some of the things he threw into our luggage in his rush.
He apparently just ran into the kitchen, ripping everything which looked non-poisonous to eat out of the fridge and emptied the cupboards over the sink as well.
When I slowly lifted a bundle of unwashed radish out of his bag, I couldn't help but chuckle when I turned to him but he only shrugged with a smile, before taking another sip of his Corona.
Tough, now that I realized, it would only take a couple of hours before Michael would leave to start his new life on the road.
I, on the other hand, wouldn't have had any chance to see him too much now anyway.
Would Sydney university be the right place for me?
This was soon to be found out since I had my application date only one day afterwards.
School stressed me out, not gonna lie. Yes, believe it or not.
I was damn stressed out by the fact, that I had to give everything to get a scholarship which at least let me attend a local uni - now that Harvard was unreachable.
Michael seemed very distant now. I didn't really know why in that matter and he acted very taken aback from the whole moving-away-situation.
„So...do you..." the words tasted bitter on my tongue, not knowing why he was being apathetic towards me.
„do you want me to say good-bye tomorrow?" I asked hesitantly, now that he had already parked in front of my house, waiting for me to speak up.
It was completely silent in his BMW and you could hear very clear how Michael bit the insides of his cheeks.
„I don't know, Allison. I'm so... ugh just... I don't think it's a good idea, really"
Nodding, I tried to hide the prominent lump in my throat, a desperate attempt of a fake-smile on my face.
„So this is our good-bye, then?" I asked sheepishly, playing with my fingers.
Michael shifted in his seat uncomfortly. "Guess so..."
He didn't move and that showed his non-existent urge for a good-bye kiss.
I was confused. Again.
Michael seemed to be the only person on this goddamn planet who managed to make me question everything and everything in a matter of seconds.
Opening the door, I had one foot out already. "B-bye Michael. Take care okay? I want you to become happy, yeah?"
He looked down on his thighs, a pained smile on his lips. "Oh Allison..." he huffed.
When he still didn't meet my eyes, I turned around to place my feet outside as I felt his strong grip on my arm.
"Allison!" he panted loudly as I turned around, his green eyes seemed on fire - so much passion was mirroring in them, face still as serious as ever. Not even a hint of a smile was visable.
His thumb brushed over my skin lightly. "Thank you. Thank you for everything"
I smiled. "Thank you, Michael."
Michael's POV
"How are you still such a fucking idiot after dating a girl with an intellect as high, it would be enough for all 5 of us?" Ashton groaned frustrated.
