[IM VERY SORRY FOR ANY SPELLING OR GRAMMAR MISTAKES!!]
*BEEP BEEP BEEP* You wake up to the familiar sound of your alarm. '6:30' shows on your phone screen. You toss and turn for a moment before reaching over to lift your phone and stop the deafening beeps that where coming from it.
You fold the duvet away from you and kick it off your feet and ankles. With a yawn, you rub your eyes and stretch. "I don't wanna go.." you say to yourself as you sit straight and try to wake yourself up. Although you didn't want to go to school, you just had to see him. Your corridor crush. Seeing his face in your mind, you smile and gather your uniform. Your school uniform was strict, girls had to wear skirts, shirts and optionally a blazer but boys had to wear full suits (which you weren't mad about since you got to see your corridor crush in one.) You began to get ready, you put on your shirt and buttoned it up before slipping on your skirt and some tights.
You look in the mirror. Although you were absolutely gorgeous, you didn't see it. You didn't like the way you looked - you were not of today's beauty standards, you were a short girl with a round face and rosy cheeks. The type of girl who thought she wasn't pretty enough. It was certainly not true. You where stunning, though people made you think you weren't. Unhealthy beauty standards and mean words where pushed onto you. You where a healthy person, that was all that mattered anyways.
Although you didn't like the way you looked, you decided to still show up to school and make it your goal to see your corridor crush, maybe even be in a class with him?..though you doubted that would be the case. You sat at your vanity and put on some subtle makeup, some concealer, some contour, some tinted lip balm and gave your eyelashes a slight curl. You tied your soft, long, healthy hair into a half-up half-down style and left a couple of strands in the front swooping to the side of your face, framing it beautifully. You really didn't understand how gorgeous you truly were.
7:10am, time to leave. You put on some boots and grab your bag, you head out the door, locking it behind you. You begin your gurney to school. Walking and crossing roads. You saw Honey, the neighbours cat, and gave her a quick pet before continuing your walk to school. As you walked, you listened to some music and got your timetable out of your bag to check which lessons you had for the first two periods. 7:40am, you arrive. You walk in through the door with the rest of the crowd of people and head you your first lesson of the day, first lesson of the year. It was maths, pretty boring but you could live with it. Down the hallway, up the first flight of stairs, took first left and then a right, two classes down, 1-18, your maths class.
You find your name on a desk and take a seat, the seating plan was not great, you were next to a girl called Maddie, who was kind of annoying. "Oh well.." you whisper to yourself with a sigh. Taking a seat, you grab your bag and pull out your pencil case along with a lanyard that you slid over your head and let dangle around your neck.
"Right class," you heard a sharp voice say, "I am Mr Steels, and I will be your maths teacher for this year. You may have seen me around school or maybe even spoken to me." He explained. Mr Steels seemed nice, you hoped it would stay that way. You where focusing on algebra, something you where quite good at. You flew through the work and were sat with a lot of free time. You used that time to think of him, think of corridor crush. 45 minutes later, Mr Steels ordered you to pack away and go to your next class. "Right class, pack away and get off to your next lesson, you don't want to be late on your first day back." He said jokingly but with a sense of seriousness.
Next period was English, you walked the stairs and corridors to get to your next classroom, 2-45. Still no sign of 'corridor crush'. Just as you were about to turn the corner to enter your class, you see his friends. You stagger to an abrupt halt as you subtlety move your head to see if he was in the group. He was not. "Where the hell is he?" You question to yourself with an inaudible whisper.
English, you hoped this lesson would be a little better than the last, hopefully the seating plan would at least be slightly better. You entered the room and were greeted by a female figure. "Hello, everyone. I'm miss Moore and I will be your English teacher this year. Please find your seat and get prepared for the lesson." In English, you were starting 'Romeo and Juliette' by William Shakespeare. You were good at English, but didn't particularly enjoy it. You find your seat and sit down. You once again place your stuff on your desk. You read the name next to you. It read 'Josh Wilkinson'. That was good, he was one of your friends. You had know each other since year 7, and because you were now both in year 11, you thought it would be nice to be able to sit and talk with him again. After reading and taking notes for which seemed like eternity, the bell finally went. "Okay, time for break. Pack away and I'll see you all tomorrow!" Miss Moore exclaimed joyfully.
You found your friends and you all headed to the cafeteria to grab a snack before heading outside for break.
(If you got this far, thank you so much. Another part will be coming out soon!!)
