Prologue

"Daddy, are we almost there?" We
were on a road trip to this really fancy hotel in California, I don't really remember the name. Everything on that day is kinda blurry to me... "No honey, we still have 3 more hours from here" "okay daddy" I spoke sweetly as I licked my ice cream. I was so spoiled, I guess that's what happens when your dad owns Macys. My mom was asleep in the front seat, she was so beautiful. Everyone that I meet tells me that I have the same piercing green eyes as her, the same perfect button nose as my father, and the same fiery yet delicate personality to match them both. My daddy and mom were holding hands across their seats in the front row of our minivan. It all happened so fast, I saw the light suddenly turn green. There was a semi to our left in the intersection we were at. The driver swerved his car in a circle as he saw us coming. My dad, obviously taken aback tried to swerve around the car. When the tires didn't respond pure terror filled my mind and probably my eyes too and when I thought I couldn't get more terrified, my mother screaming was what brought me to tears. "I love you" I choked out. I attempted at unbuckeling myself and when I succeded, I hurriedly pushed opened the door and rolled out. I looked back at my car as another out of control car crashed into it and the car exploded. The last thing I remembered were red, white, and blue lights flashing around me as I blacked out with tears flooding my vision.
