Chapter 23 - Brain Damage!

Leo's POV

I was talking with Sagittarius when he suddenly went silent. "Hey, you okay?" I asked him. He shook his head and then looked at me. "Oh, sorry, I just zoned out." He chuckled. I then gave him a smile. "Oh, well, be sure not to zone out every time I talk to you then." I laughed. He laughed along with me. "I won't, don't worry!" He chuckled. I noticed he seemed to have something on his mind. "Sag? Are you sure everything is okay?" I raised my eyebrow. "I'm fine, I just... feel strange." He admitted. "Strange? What do you mean?" I tilted my head to one side. "I don't know, I just -" Sagittarius suddenly stopped in his tracks and suddenly looked horrified. "Sag?" I had a confused look on my face.

He suddenly collapsed onto the ground! "SAGITTARIUS!" I yelled as he fell. I immediately crouched down to him and stayed there. I didn't know what to do. I heard muttering and yelling, but it was all muffled. I just did what my instincts told me to do, and I slapped him across the face.

"Don't slap him!" I looked up and saw Capricorn. "Well, what am I supposed to do?! I'm panicking!" I yelled at her. She stayed silent for a second. "Agh! My mind is blanking!" Capricorn stomped her foot on the ground. "Get Nurse Columba!" Virgo ran up to us. "We're stupid!" Both Capricorn and I yelled as we managed to hold Sagittarius up with Virgo's help. We then booked it for Nurse Columba's office.

On our way, I almost tripped, and my crown fell off of my head. "My crown!" I looked back at it and stopped. "Forget it!" Capricorn yelled at me. "What's more important, your crown or Sagittarius?" Virgo asked me. "They're both important!" I glared at Virgo. My eyes then softened a little. "But Sagittarius' life could be at risk!" I kept running as they followed. I glanced back at my crown but then turned away from it and kept running.

Soon, we got to Nurse Columba's office, and all three of us banged on the door. She opened her door with a very confused look on her face. I then began yelling as Capricorn and Virgo did the same. "Hold on!" Nurse Columba silenced us. "Please, stop yelling and get him in here right away." We did as we were told, and Sagittarius was placed down on a bed.

Nurse Columba soon checked Sagittarius' pulse and breathing. "He's unconscious, but he's still breathing." She told us. "Now, what exactly happened to him?" She asked. Virgo and Capricorn began explaining what happened.

Soon after, they both sat down, and I sat down next to Virgo. I looked down and saw my leg shaking. Great. Now I'm getting paranoid. Next thing I know, I'll be -

"Leo?" I looked up and saw Nurse Columba. "Do you want a bottle of water? I can tell you're tense, and it might help." She asked me. I stayed quiet for a bit before responding with a nod. Nurse Columba then went to her mini fridge and gave me a cold water bottle. I then opened it and began to drink some of it.

Afterward, I closed it and glanced at Virgo and Capricorn. Virgo was holding Capricorn, and he wrapped his wing around her to comfort her. I saw they had been holding hands as well. I then rolled my eyes and turned my attention to Sagittarius. I'll admit, I was worried. He might be a stupid idiot, but he's my best friend. I quietly gulped to myself and then reached towards the top of my head for my crown. I then remembered it was gone. "Right. I dropped it." I muttered to myself. "Nurse Columba, can I go and get my crown? I dropped it on the way here." I asked for permission to leave. "Of course. Take all the time you need." Nurse Columba smiled at me. I nodded and left.

I retraced my steps, but I when I got to the point where I dropped my crown, it was gone. "No." I muttered. I then started searching for my crown, becoming more and more frantic as I searched. I then began hyperventilating as I searched. It can't be gone. I looked and looked, but I couldn't find it anywhere. "No. No. No. No!" I stomped my foot. I began to clench my fists, getting frustrated. "Where did it go?!" I began to look more and more, running in circles and getting vigorous and intense with my movements.

"It's gone."

I heard a voice. I turned around and saw nothing. I wasn't even in the school halls anymore. "Where am I?" I asked.

"You're nowhere."

The voice responded. "What?" I narrowed my eyes.

"You're nowhere."

The voice repeated. "This is getting out of hand. I just want my crown." I sighed, rolling my eyes.

"SILENCE!"

The voice yelled. This made me jump. I heard something behind me and quickly turned around, but when I turned, I was hit and knocked to the ground by something. "Ugh." I rubbed my head. I then realized Sagittarius was on top of me! "Woah!" I pushed him off of me as he plopped to the ground. He seemed unconscious. As I got a closer look at him, I saw there was something on his back. As I got a little closer to him, I noticed it was an arrow. And it was peirced into his back! "My God!" I ran over to him and stared at the arrow. There was a small trickle of blood running down his back. "What have you done to him!" I yelled out, trying to get to the voice.

"I just simply gave him a curse."

The voice spoke. "By stabbing an arrow in his back?!" I scoffed.

"Yes. Don't question my tactics. Or else you'll be next."

The voice sounded ominous now. There was a bit of silence afterward.

"I'm kidding."

The voice paused.

"You're gonna be next anyway!"

"Over my dead body!" I yelled. I then put Sagittarius on my back and began to run with him. I wasn't letting this thing take me alive! As I ran, I felt something on my foot. I glanced down and saw it was a snake! "Agh!" I screamed as I fell and dropped Sagittarius. I quickly glanced back and forth between the snake and Sagittarius.

Sagittarius didn't look hurt, thankfully, but to my horror, the snake kept getting closer and closer to me. I whimpered and tried to shake it off my leg, but it didn't work. It hissed at me as it wrapped itself around my arm now.

I tried to force my arm to get as far away from my face as it could get, but that stupid monster thing bit me! "Agh!" I punched it and threw it off of my arm. It thankfully slithered away afterward. I breathed a sigh of relief. I winced at the pain in my arm but shook it off almost immediately.

I then turned my attention back to Sagittarius. I was about to try and get the arrow out of his back, but when I touched it, I felt a chill up my spine. There was a pain all throughout my body! It was so painful! More painful than anything I had ever experienced before! I feel to the ground in pain. "What is happening to me?!" I managed to speak as I clenched my fists and attempted to try and hug myself. I was in immense pain. I didn't know what happened. Where did this come from?! I need to stop this! I've gotta... help Sag. I attempted to reach my hand over to him, but I couldn't even move an inch without feeling immense pain. I suddenly began feeling really uncomfortably hot. Usually, I could tolerate most heat, but this was ridiculous! "Agh!" I gritted my teeth as it felt like my brain was being melted inside my skull! It was so horrible! I had to get someone. Anyone. So I screamed at the top of my lungs.

"WHAT IS THIS TORTURE!?!?!?!?"

GUYS, IM SO SORRY THIS TOOK FOREVER!!!!! I'm a professional procrastinator lol But I do hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and all of its edginess XD
