I sneaked around the edge of the red brick building. Although I was wearing my favorite chunky black booties, my movements were sleek and almost cat-like. As I neared the graffiti clad back door, my fingers tightened around my hand crafted machete. I slipped through the door, scanning the dark warehouse as i did. Suddenly I felt the cold wall on my back. I swore under my breath. My machete dropped to the concrete floor with a loud clang. I knew my attacker was a vampire.

"You must be Lacey." Said the vampire. "I heard you were coming for a visit."

The wall bit into my shoulders, his arm pushing harder onto my neck. A small whimper escaped my lips. If he kept up the pressure he was putting on me, I would be crushed.

"Well I wasn't expecting a red carpet or anything, but is this really any way to be treating a lady?" I questioned, clearing my throat.

The vamp threw his head back and laughed, but he was cut off when the door I had previously entered through was kicked open. While the vamp was distracted I lunged for my machete. But by the time I had gotten into a fighting stance, the vampire was being held by one of the two strangers who had come through the door. The other one had a knife similar to mine in their hand. The stranger was about to raise the machete when I saw it.

"Watch out!" I yelled.

But it was too late. The female vamp that had appeared from behind the strangers was already running towards them. She took down the second one, who I could now tell was a guy, in one swift blow.

"Aw crap." I said.

I ran towards the tumbling pair, holding my knife high above my head and bringing it down and across her neck, decapitating her. I tossed a syringe full of dead man's blood to the guy who was still struggling to hold the vampire. He flicked off the protective cap, and jammed the needle into the vamp's neck. Seconds later the vampire fell limp. He dragged the vamp out of the warehouse, with the other guy and I hot on his heels.

"Son of a bitch." The shorter man of the two said. "The damned thing almost had you, Lacey."

"I'm sorry, but do I know you?" I asked, narrowing eyes at the men.

He did have a familiar voice, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I lent against a post, my arms tightly crossed. I peered at his through the darkness, but I was barely able to make out any of his features.

"Yeah, well uh, it would've been about two years ago. We were on a hunt in Iowa, but we met at a bar. And uh, from what I remember, it was a pretty great week. You know besides the vengeful spirit part." He said, glancing at me.

"oh, my god," I said, laughing. "Dean? What the hell?"

He smirked, grabbing me for a hug. When he let go, I held my arms out for Sam, who had left to go put the momentarily knocked out vamp in their car.

"How did you guys find me?" I asked.

"Bobby called. He told us you were in town looking for a vamp's nest. We were in the area and we figured we would come see if you needed help. Looks like we were right." Dean said, shrugging.

"What Dean really means is that he wanted to see you, and this was his perfect opportunity." Sam said, smirking.

"Sam, you can be such a freaking dick, dude." Dean muttered, clearly uncomfortable.

"I know I'm a catch, but I really need to question that vamp. So if you're here to help..." I trailed off, raising my eyebrows.

"Well the vamp's in the trunk. But he's strong. The dead man's blood won't last much longer." Sam said, nodding his head towards the beautiful black car that was parked behind us.
