Chapter 1

Hero's Pov

I've never understood why everyone was always so interested in the latest party or who wore what to the dance. Most of my school is filled with dimwitted jocks and girls who will peak in High school. Except one girl that is. Josephine Langford. I've had a crush on her ever since I moved here from London in the 6th grade after my parents divorced. She had a piece of toilet paper stuck to her shoe while the others pointed and whispered laughing as she walked by them I quietly stepped on it making it come apart and she turned around and looked up at me as the others still looked at her giggling. Her face was mortified as her cheeks flushed with pink. "I'm sorry I dropped my tissue" I said nervously she smiled at me with her face showing her gratitude and I was bloody hooked.
It wasn't long after that she became popular. She's never been mean to me or anyone for that matter and I think that's why everyone loves her. Including Nate. Bloody Nathan Scott. Her boyfriend since Freshman year when we all went to the new private school they had built Oak Tree Academy. The others had got in because they were rich and could afford the tuition. I on the other hand am here on academic scholarship. She's Captain of the cheerleading squad and the student body President.

My best friend Haley James has always teased me endlessly about my obsession with Josephine and because she's a girl it's not like I can just punch her in the jaw so I just take it occasionally throwing a jab at her secret crush which I know is on one of the basketball players I just can't figure out which one. It just better not be bloody Nate. I laugh out loud at that ridiculous thought pulling me back to the stone bench me and Haley are currently sitting on both of us studying for our test the next day. "Don't think because I'm helping you study that I'm suddenly giving up my spot for Valedictorian next year" Haley teases me as she chews on the end of her pencil. "Yeah, sure mate what ever you want to tell yourself to make yourself feel better" I say teasing her back.

"Aren't you two the cutest couple ever" Nate says mockingly as he walks up with two of his friends Lucas and Chuck who both start laughing as Chuck smacks Nate's arm making Nate roll his eyes at him as he looks back over at Haley eyeing her up down. That little fuck checking out Haley when he's dating Josephine. "Cut it out Nate you know they're just friends so leave them alone" Josephine says walking up behind them with her best friends Brooke Davis and Blair Waldorf. They are all dressed up in their Raven's uniform with the colors of our school blue and gold for the pep rally later. Her blonde locks are tied up in a high ponytail with a matching ribbon tied around it her blueish grey eyes look into mine and she gives me a small smile as Brooke says "let's go J we've got to get too practice." "I don't see why we have to rush we already know the whole routine" Blaire says her tone filled with annoyance as she looks at her perfectly manicured nails.

"Let's go Hero" Haley whispers to me pulling me from my thoughts of Josephine again as I stare into her beautiful eyes. Suddenly Nate yells out "oh shit Hero you like my girl don't you." He starts laughing as he puts his arm around Jo who looks at him angrily pushing him away. "I told you to stop didn't I" she yells back at him. I'm so sick of watching her waste her life with this loser. "So what if I do like her" I say getting up off the bench. I see my two friends Skills and Ryan walking towards us as they look at me worriedly. "Oh someone grew some balls this summer" Chuck says mockingly. "I'm bored let's go Chuck" Blaire states out of the blue seemingly oblivious to the situation around her as she takes his hand he shakes his head laughing as he says "got to do what my queen wants."

"So he likes you maybe you should just go with him then since you want to always be on my case about everything" Nate yells at Jo making her flinch and that's when I absolutely bloody lose my mind. Before I know it my fist is landing on Nate's jaw and I lunge at him grabbing him by his Raven jersey I scream "don't you ever bloody talk to her like she's some object you can pass along again or next time I won't fucking stop at one punch." I push him as hard as I can and watch as he land on the ground jumping back up his face bleeding and bruised already. "Your going to pay for that Tiffin you hear me. Fucking pay" he yells out as him and Lucas who just shakes his head at me holding his hands up as if to say he was staying neutral in the whole situation. Me and him have always gotten along he can't help that him and Nate are half brothers and I can't blame him for wanting to be apart of his brothers life even if he is the biggest wanker in the world.

"Are you ok Jo" Haley asks Josephine whose looking over at me. "I'm fine thank you" Jo answers her as Brooke looks over at me and Haley. "So you two aren't a thing?" Brooke asks us as she smiles at me flirtatiously. "Eew God no" Haley answers her making a disgusted look on her face. "Good" she states pulling Jo by her arm as they head towards the school gym. "Thank you Hero really I appreciate it" Jo says smiling at me. "My pleasure love" I say to her noticing that her cheeks blush as she gives me a little wave as Brooke practically drags her away from me.
"You need to get a grip on yourself" Haley says smacking me on my arm. "Look whose talking I saw you checking out Lucas is that who you have a crush on" I ask her curiously. Please let it be Lucas he's better than the rest of those wankers on the team. "What no of course not I don't like any of those guys" she says shaking her head.

New story since I got hacked and can't finish the rest of my other books. This one will be a mash up of characters from my favorite shows One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl and The O.C and of course our beloved Herophine.
