"Watch where you're going!" "Oh, sorry." I can't believe what a fool he is, galloping at full speed then coming to a stop all together at once.
-This is where I met him. Which now, had been three months ago.-
I looked up at him, still in shock he nearly trampled me with his mighty steed. A Jutland, it appeared. "You know, it would serve you well if you watched where you're going." I told him this, well because, who else would correct him?
"You have a name, I assume."
He ignored me.
"What are you called?"
-I asked again, why this persistence you may ask, well even to this day I do not know but I do not regret it.-
"Why do you want to know so badly,"
His voice.. is so strong, powerful, yet sweet and kind all at once. I have never met any man whose voice is at all like this.
"Alessia. My name, is Alessia."
"Well, why do you want to know so badly, Alessia."
I genuinely do not know. There is just something about him and a sort of calling, you could say, I almost heard to ask of his name.
"I do not know. I feel sorry for you."
"Why? You have Nothing to be sorry about over me."
Pride. His pride is hurt. While doing this might have been unkind, he nearly hurt me, so I care not.
"Well. Obviously you have Something to hide. I do not recall meeting any man, such like yourself, hiding his name for No reason. Which leads me to believe there very well is a reason such as committing a crime.. such said as-"
He interrupted me there. What is even more obvious is I'm irritating him, intentionally. Simply because as said, his stupidity and pride has so far only taken over.
"Amias! My name is Amias Hendricks of Ribe. And I suppose you would have a family name as well?"
Well, look at that. The pride prince Does have a name.
"Yes. I am Alessia Asquith of Ribe."
The sound of Amias family name is familiar-
"Now, why is your family name so familiar?"
"I'm pondering the same question."
"Your great-grandfather!"
We both exclaimed these word's at the same time.
You see, each of us has a long going family feud with the other one for, as of today. A quincentennial. It had been so long that in fact no one knew why, so it was agreed upon a truce-to never make contact with the other for the rest of eternity-all because of our great-grandfathers they had become the best of friends. Until, well, a woman. Which is No surprise.
-Spoiler: that woman is Amias great-grandmother-
The feud still occurs to this day just with the Almost truce in mind. Which would explain, why Amias and I have never met the other.
"You know what. I don't want to ruin what ever small friendship we Could have, so let's not."
No response
"I'm glad My great-grandfather won her over. Otherwise you would never have me."
Pride. Lord, he has too much of it. However,
I guess he's right but only time will tell if what he says is true.
"Do not eve-"
"What are You going to do? Toss me in the waste lake?"
"You little!"
I was cut off. By arguing in a language neither of us recognized. All we know is swords were drawn.
"Watch out!"
It was too late. If Amias hadn't tackled me, I would be dead. On another note, since all he wore was clothes made of linen while he laid atop of me, I felt his muscles press into me. Even if only being for ten seconds. Fallowing this, is the apology for tackling me.
Maybe he Isn't only filled with pride. I mean, he still said sorry, so that's something.
He started to his feet faster than I could say that. Fallowing, he picked me up as if I was really as light as a feather and set me atop of his steed. He quickly saddled atop as well and-
"You might want to hold on, Alessia."
"Callynn!"
I thought Amias was calling out for another lady, perhaps a mistress. But no, Amias was only shouting his steeds name. Which no sooner could I finish my trail of thoughts, a fast jerk of movement nearly threw me off Callynn and my hair, although Was pinned up, was no longer. It now flew freely with the gallops against the wind as the two men and the market disappeared into the far off distance.

"So, I just saved you."
"Thank you?"
Don't get me wrong, I am grateful Amias saved me. He's just, well you know as I've said, kind of a pride prince. I looked around, attempting to figure out where I am, I guess Amias noticed because
"Don't worry, we're safe now.. well, I am."
"What is that supposed to mean? What, did you save me only to kill me yourself."
I was only half joking.
"No. Although that would be what I'm destined for... Unless you want to die, we're on my family's land. You know, your family's enemies land."
Oh.
"I need to sneak you out, if you want to live, that is."
I didn't respond. I didn't know what to say, all I have are my thought's, no words.
"What, are you going to stay silent? I figured the princess of remarks would Never stay silent."
Oh. He has his own nick name for me as well
"I don't need your help."
"Well you needed my help not being Killed only a half hour ago."
"That is not the point."
"Then what is?"
The point was, I never knew his family had their own land. It's rare for that. The average person or said to be peasant Pays to live on the land and are so poor they pay in the crops they harvest.. leading them to die a life of forty years all lived on a farm.
I don't want his pity, on someone whose family was a family that payed rent in crops. Maybe I have my own pride and maybe it is almost as bad as Amias
"I don't need help from a boy who should be my enemy."
"Hey, what's with that? I thought you were all about on how 'let's not fight so maybe just maybe we can be friends."
..
"I'll allow you to escort me out."
No, I didn't like exactly how I was acting either but the man that very well could have been my friend.... Or more-
"Then you won't ever have to see me again, Princess Alessia, queen of silence."
"Good."
Callynn neighed as if only a warning. It was. Someone was watching us.
