One morning, James Marriott decided to treat himself to a pamper at his local barber shop. It was a new barber shop that had recently opened in his hometown of Brighton & he had heard great things about it. It particularly appealed to James because he'd heard that the 2 owners were Spanish & Portuguese & James just happened to be tri-lingual.
He awoke early to the morning sun streaming through his slightly open blinds. He had a good, long stretch & contemplated whether he should make a coffee before getting into the shower. James decided that he would shower 1st and stop for an iced Americano on his way to the barbers.
He took himself into the bathroom, turned on the shower, and waited as the steam filled the room. James loved a long, hot shower & thought there was no better way to start the day... apart from an iced Americano!
After his shower, James dressed & set off to his favourite coffee shop where he knew he wouldn't even have to tell them what he wanted. He entered through the large wooden door. The girl behind the counter caught his eye and immediately asked, "The usual James?",
"You know it Sandra!!" Replied James in his usual cheery tone.
He paid for his coffee and made small talk with the coffee shop staff before heading back out into the Brighton sun and making his way to the new barber shop.
As James approached the well designed, hip & cool building, he noticed a familiar silhouette inside! He couldn't quite put his finger on who it could be... he got closer, there was no mistaking that beautiful, thick & silky head of hair... it was his old pal Matt Gavin. James was so excited as Matt Gavin NEVER gave away his hair secrets & now was his chance to find out how he too could have such luscious & amazing hair.
James burst into the barbers & called out "Matt... I need to know your secret!". Matt Gavin swivelled in his chair & looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights. He didn't know that any of his friends knew about this tri-lingual barbers, and now he was worried he would no longer have the best hair in Brighton! The barbers both looked worried as they had seen this type of friendship hair rivalry before & they were clearly frightened it could turn nasty. They needn't have worried, though. James respected Matt's hair too much to even try and compete with it. He took a seat next to Matt and said to the barber, "Make me half the man you've made him, and I'll be happy til the day I die."
The End
