(I know. So many stories and yet another one is added to the mix. But this is honestly a "what if" scenario and also sort of a way to promote this amazing world. I do hope you at least try to back the Kickstarter and that you enjoy.)
"Girls!" Adorabelle meowed excitedly, slamming the door open with one tentacle and holding a scroll in another. "I found something cool!" She closes the door behind her after entering the cabin, which is much more furnished than what it's outside appearance would lead you to believe.
"I swear to Princess Ronni," Trixiebelle mutters with a soft growl before asking the inevitable question. "What did you find this time?"
"I found the spell we were looking for," Adorabelle cheerfully mews back, handing her friends the scroll. Mishkabelle takes and opens it with a gasp.
"It's the dimensional door spell," she mews with excitement. Trixiebelle asks for it to see if it's true and joins in the excitement before remembering what they originally planned to do that night.
"Sorry Ichabod," the gray witch softly mewed as she apologized to her pumpkin Tentacle Kitty friend. "Maybe another time we can make you a friend that's like you."
"I-I-It's fine," he responded, having a hard time forming words due to his Jack-O-Lantern features. The girl friends had used a Jack-O-Lantern in a spell to create a Tentacle Kitty out of curiosity, but as a result he has trouble sometimes forming words. However, since it was lit when it was added, he glows at night.
"So what do we need?" The brown witch meows curiously. They look over the scroll to see what's needed.
---
A young adult black with white front paws ran through their house, doing what their human called "zoomies". They called it "releasing energy", but in the end it's the same thing. Eventually they can across their human who was working on the computer for whatever reason.
"Hey human," they meowed at the human typing away. They sighed in a cat like way before trying again, but this time replacing "human" with "owner". This got their owner's attention, making them get scooped up and put on the human's lap.
"Hey there Mittens," the human greeted all cutesy like. Mittens didn't like it when they "kittened", as Mittens likes to put it, them, as they were clearly a fully grown young adult cat. In retaliation, the black and white cat jumped onto the desk and sat on the keyboard, making it type utter gibberish on the project they were working on. As a result they were put on the floor by the human before they started backspacing the mess Mittens made. The cat felt it was worth it as they started giving themself a bath.
---
Before the cuddle of friends knew it, it was evening and they had all of the ingredients: a place in mind, a piece of the dimension they wanted the spell to reach, and the magic of friendship. They always find it special when a powerful spell such as this one includes the magic of friendship as part of the spell as not many Tentacle Kitty witches like to mingle.
"'Place into the cauldron the item,'" Adorabelle meowed as she read from the scroll. From the look and feel of the scroll, and the fact that it's a scroll at all, the tan Tentacle Kitty witch was able to figure out that it was from when the human and Tentacle Kitty dimensions coexisted peacefully. Trixiebelle dropped in the extra leather boot from Borkenstomp, making it do less of a puff of cloud and more of almost splash the cuddle. No one complained though, as they all figured they would just clean up their mess when their done.
"'Now think of a place while holding tentacles with your friend(s) and it will appear,'" Adorabelle meowed, reading from it one last time before closing it and putting it down to join her friends. They then all thought of what they agreed to think about from the human dimension: a generic human bedroom with generic human bedroom stuff in it. A portal formed, showing it worked.
---
Mittens was far from tired, doing even more energy releasing in the human's bedroom. They liked to sleep with their cat for reasons unknown to said cat, but it's not like they mind. A bed is still a bed after all. Plus the human was nice and warm, especially the face but Mittens has learned that they don't like that so they don't do it as often as they want to.
While zooming around, a portal appeared near them. Stopping, they looked over at the human and saw them sleeping soundly from a long day at work. The cat wasn't sure how it counted as them going to work when they never leave the house to go there. They over heard one time the human using the term "remote work", but that didn't help any.
Shaking their head of the thoughts of how a remote makes the human work at home, Mittens approached the portal. It was a small circle, perfectly round and purple in color too. The cat proceeded to sit there and think about whether they should go through or not. On one paw, the human takes care of them and feeds them and cleans out their toilet box. Plus there's the cats they hang out with in the neighborhood. On the other, curiosity towards where it leads. In the end, of course, curiosity won and they stepped through.
---
"What's that?" Mishkabelle asked pointing at the tentacleless kitty entering through the portal. The creature placed its... thing, none of them were sure what to call it, and continued to walk through the portal. Soon after it finished entering the dimensional portal, it closed behind them. As Mittens looked around curiously at the stump cottage, the girls screamed with high pitched meows. This caused them to notice the Tentacle Kitties and did the same back.
"What are you?" Trixiebelle asked with a scared mew.
"I'm a cat," Mittens responded with a meow of their own before asking what they are.
"We're Tentacle Kitties," the brown one responded, starting to gain some courage. "Where are your tentacles?" After a long talk about how cats from the human dimension worked, they were able to get comfortable with each other. However, by the time they got done, it was late at night.
"Why don't you stay the night?" Adorabelle meowed with a tilt of her head. "It's late and it's not a good idea to wander the woods at night, especially alone." When the newcommer responded with a yes, she purred with excitement. That night was the first night in years Ichabod was used as a nightlight.
The next morning Mittens awoke to the sound of four Tentacle Kitties, or at least they assumed the sources of the sounds all were since it sounded like last night they were the only one who wasn't. Curious, the human owned cat got up and went to the location of the sounds.
"What's my payment?" An unfamiliar voice asks. "What will you give me in return?" After a bit of back and forth, they agreed on babysitting "familiars", which confused Mittens since they didn't see any when they arrived. Eventually though we was spotted and introduced to a Tentacle Kitty named Celeste.
"Are you a witch too?" Mittens curiously meows after introductions are made.
"Oh no," Celeste meows back with a purr filled laugh. "I read the future using astrology, and I was asked to read your's for a fee." The black and white cat guessed that where the familiars came into the conversation.
"So what do you see in my future?" They asked, not know what to expect. They'd seen the human date other humans from time to time that were into it, but some of them left simply because of when they were born. That confused Mittens more than almost anything from their home dimension. The Astrological Tentacle Kitty thought for a moment before answering.
"I suggest staying in the forest until meowcury is in retrograde, which is in a week," she answers, meowing slowly. "During this time, I recommend only going as far as the nearby village, but be warned that they will be wary of you and they aren't always as kind as these three." The cat having their future read nods, understanding the basics: only go as far as the village for the next week. They thank her and she says her goodbyes before leaving. Mittens then turns around to face the witches that brought them here and asks them a question.
"So what do you three want to do now?"
(Hey. Author here. Thanks so much for giving this a read, and I'm sorry if the ending seems a bit rushed. As of writing this, there is only 14 days left to back the kickstarter so please do so if you can. Also, Princess Ronni is the username of one of the people behind this amazing dimension, so make sure to thank her, John, his wife Rae, and everyone else on the Tentacle Kitty team for making Tentacle Kitties exist in the first place. The next chapter will be basic info and stuff about the dimension and stuff that I'm including in it. In the meantime, I'll see you in the next chapter I write.)
