" Hello there young lady, my name is Officer Tan. May I come in?"
I smiled in return and let him in. Why was a cop here. What did my brother do now?
"Is there anybody else in the house?"
I nodded my head and shouted for my brother. He came out of his room annoyed. He saw the cop and went to take a seat beside me opposite the cop.
" I am sorry to tell you both that your parents got into a car accident last night. They are unfortunately confirmed dead. You will be going to a foster home untill further notice. Pack your necessary clothes into a suitcase and we will come to pick you up tomorrow. Pack your school items too, you will still go to school. I am sorry for your lost and I will see you two tomorrow.
I stood up and escorted the cop to the door. There was nothing that we could do anymore. I quickly took my fake ID and went over to my cousins house.
"Hey Electrise, can you help me take care of this for a while just bring it to school and I will get it back, okay?"
She quickly nodded and took it. I winked at her then walked to the HDB lift.
It was about 8 when I reach home after dinner. I started packing all my clothes and school supplies.
