Y/N POV:

We all leave the office in a group, lead by Weems. We walk down to our dorm in Ophelia Hall. On the way there, I notice Wednesday's mother makes several attempts to start a conversation, every one in vain. She finally seems to give up, and fall quiet after a fifth failed attempt. She falls silent for a moment, before falling back and she begins walking in step with me, as I'm at the back of the group, since Weems had pulled Enid for a separate chat. The woman walks along quietly for a moment before slightly turning her head to face me.

"Hello," She says, in a charming voice, the Cheshire cat grin noticeable in her liquid smooth tone.

I turn and meet her gaze, and let a soft smile find it's way onto my face.

"Hi," I reply. "You're Wednesday's mother."

"Correct, and you're Y/N, right?"

"Yeah, I absolutely am, I'm Y/N Y/LN." I say too quickly, instantly grimacing at my shaky tone.

"Don't be nervous," She says slowly.

'Great' I think, 'She obviously noticed it'. I mentally face palm.

"I'm Morticia," She continues. "Morticia Addams."

She out turns her hand to me through her long draping sleeve. I take it gently and she gracefully shakes it, in one elegant motion.

"Lovely to meet you," I manage to get out, in a more confident tone.

"The pleasure is all mine," She says, her grin somehow growing. "I must say, Wednesday will be rather frosty at first, or well, for a while. I don't imagine she'd make the best roommate. Did you also know me and Larissa used to share a dorm in Ophelia Hall," She gestures to Principal Weems.

"No way," I say. "So you two have a history then?"

"Oh yes, we most certainly do," She says, her eyes trained on the back of Weems.

"That explains the constant looks back in her office," I smirk at her. "I must say you two have some serious chemistry."

Her pale cheeks momentarily darken before she quickly changes the subject.

"What kind of outcast are you?" She asks as she studies me, clearly unable to guess herself.

"Well," I pause, then create a ball of pulsing blue magic. "Tadah." I do some jazz hands, which causes her to let out a light sultry laugh.

"So, you're a little witch."

I feel my heart skip a beat at her tone.

"Yes, you said you went to this school, so what kind of outcast are you?"

"Well, I'm prone to psychic visions," She says. "I'm a dove," She notices my blank expression and continues. "My visions focus on the more positive aspects of life."

"Oh, so is there another kind that have darker visions?"

"Yes, they're classed as ravens."

"Oh, cool, the more you know."

She laughs again, draping one of her arms around my waist.

"I like you, Miss Y/LN."

I feel my breath catch in my throat, as I try to reply.

"The feeling is very much mutual, Mrs Addams." I force out.

"Please darling, call me Morticia," She flashes me that grin again.

Luckily we reach my dorm in Ophelia Hall, before I can butcher another reply. Wednesday turns back seemingly willing to finally speak to her mother, and finds her with an arm around my waist, pulling me close to her. Wednesday's stony expression temporarily shifts, before she silently turns around and walks into our dorm. Morticia walks me into the dorm.

"I'll go help Wednesday get settled in."

She then removes her hand from my waist, and I feel my skin burn from the sudden loss of contact. Enid catches my eye and she watches me with one eyebrow raised. I walk over to her slowly, feeling unsteady on my feet, like my legs have turned to jelly. I finally reach her and sit on her bed.

"Sooo," She says. "What the hell was that?"

"I don't know, Wednesday was ignoring her so she started walking with me instead and then, yeah."

"You were like hardcore blushing," She says, smirking.

"Well yeah, have you seen that woman, she's absolutely gorgeous, and she definitely knows it."

"Yeah, but either way, she's our new roommate's mother."

"Yeah, obviously I know, it's not like I'm going to try and date her or anything, she's literally married with kids."

"Okay, but you looked like you were enjoying her attention," She shrugs.

"Well, yeah, of course I was, I literally melted, Enid." I sigh.

She laughs at my flustered state, so I grab one of her teddies and throw it at her.

"Headshot," I say while laughing.

She throws one back at me but misses, and it hits Wednesday in the back of the head while she's unpacking. She turns around on her heels to glare at us.

"Who threw that?" She says, coldly.
