Mitch's POV:
Being married fucking sucks.
Don't get me wrong, the first few weeks were amazing! However, things tend to go downhill after that.
I should probably start from the beginning for you to understand what's going on.

~The night of the wedding~
Jerome was carrying me bridal style to our hotel room right after our reception. We were both pretty in love at that point, and you can probably see where this is going.
As soon as we got to the room, he threw me down on the bed and looked at me with that look in his eye, filled with-WOAH WOAH WOAH. SMUT ON THE FIRST CHAPTER? Oh I don't think so. But don't worry, that'll come later😏
Anyways, after we did the diddly doo, we woke up next to each other in an embrace, and I tried carefully to remove myself from his arms. It worked, fortunately, and I got dressed, and went downstairs for the free breakfast they had offered.
As I was eating, Jerome comes down the elevator with nothing but boxers on. "Jerome?! What the hell? Get some clothes on, you're in public!" "Like I care. I will flaunt my delicious body if I please." He winked at me and then went to get his food. Typical.

~Back to Present~
Anyways, after that night and morning, everything just went back to the way it was. It was boring to say the least.
Until one day, Jerome came home from work, and he smelt like someone else. I tried to ask him about it, but he just dodged the question every time. I hate this.
And it wasn't even that that bugged me so much, it was the fact that we had been arguing on other things too.
"Well I don't know Jerome! What am I supposed to think when you come home late from "work" everyday and smell like a completely different person!" "I don't know either Mitch! Maybe you should just trust your husband every once in a while! God I swear I liked you a whole lot better the first time I was married to you."

Yeah, that stung. The truth is, I had completely gotten my memory back, but Jerome still thought I only had a few bits and pieces. So knowing what it was like before, that hurt.
And after that conversation, was when the empty love began.
