Your friend, Kim Dokja, read aloud to you as he continuously swiped his phone in hopes of another chapter magically appearing but was unfortunately for him only met with the notice notification. You listened to him complaining about it, leaning onto your seat.

You and Kim Dokja go way back. When you first moved to Korea, he was the first friend you had. You two were close, even if the friendship was kinda forced at first with you following him around because you didn't know any better. The rest just happened naturally. Growing closer, attending the same school, hanging out.

You gave him a pitiful expression, which he didn't even look at as he was too busy depressing over his favourite novel's end. Dokja always spoke to you about it. Each chapter he read, which character made an appearance, and what happened. He's been obsessed with this novel for as long as you can remember, and you simply fed his obsession by listening when he talked about it. At very few times, even asking questions to at least act interested, since it made him happy. And you were happy when he was.

After a few seconds, Kim Dokja finally looked at you with a deadpan expression as he flicked your forehead in which you, in response, simply rubbed the spot with a hurt expression.

"You really don't care about my misery, do you?" He asked, acting offended.

You titled your head to the side, a few of your hair strands moving in front of your eyes.
"I never said that.." You replied to Kim Dokja. As he was about to open his mouth again to answer, he was interrupted by the voice of a female.

"Oh my, you two shouldn't argue. It's sad seeing that." Kim Dokja flinched as his eyes slowly averted up to the figure with his eyes widening as he saw who it was. He shot you a quick glance before he looked back up at her.

You heard her coming but didn't expect her to actually come talk to you two. Kim Dokja nervously spoke.

"H-Hello." He stuttered out, pinching you at your waist in silence, signalling you to also greet her since it would be rude of you if you wouldn't. You were younger, after all. You sighed as you also looked up at her.

"Hello, Sangah-noona." You said in a forced tone. You didn't understand why you had to greet her also when you didn't plan on talking until she was gone anyway. Yoo Sangah smiled at you in response.

"Are you two heading home?" She asked, uncomfortably looking back at Kim dokja once she noticed your unwillingness to even greet her.

"Yes, you too?" Kim Dokja replied for the both of you, flinching and leaning closer to you as Yoo Sangah took a seat next to him. You deadpanned, shoving him away from you as you glared. You didn't understand why Kim Dokja was so nervous around her- almost everyone at the office department. You didn't care about the others, but the fact that Kim Dokja was also one of those people bothered you for some reason.

You pouted like a child that got denied some candy and tried to zone out, trusting Kim Dokja to snap you back into reality once it was time to get off the train.
