The next few years were a routine. Training with Luke, going to class, cleaning, talking, doing stuff with Kera, occasionally practice dueling with her brother, and going home on the weekends.

One day Luke called the two girls to his office. Jazlyn was 11 and Kera was 13.

"Hi Master." Jazlyn said.

"Hello Jazlyn, hello Kera." Luke said.

"So, why did you call us here?" Kera asked, acting very businesslike.

"I would like you to come with me on an investigation mission. We are going to Vandor to investigate a meteor that is going to fall there. From the reports of our sources, it is no mere meteor. There is something different about it." Luke said.

"Ok!" Jazlyn said.

"We'll get our things. Where do we meet up with you?" Kera asked.

"Meet us at the hanger." Luke said.

"Ok! we'll be there in a few minutes!" Jazlyn said. They went out of Luke's office and to their rooms which were right next to each other.

While they were packing their things Kera said, "I don't think You've ever definitively answered, but what do you want to be when you get older?" Jazlyn looked up from her packing and thought for a moment. Then she knew, she felt it deep within, a certainty. She knew what she wanted to be.

"I want to be a doctor. I've always wanted to be one ever since I was little. But I want to be one now more than ever. In my vision when I made my lightsaber, I saw hurt Jedi. If I was a doctor, I would be able to help hurt people. I would be able to heal them, make them feel better...." Jazlyn trailed off, getting lost in her thoughts.

Kera turned to her friend, who was now silent. Since Jazlyn and Kera were in the Cleaning Service, not that many Jedi knew them. Only the teachers, the council, and any student who managed to remember their names. This was because most people that were in the Cleaning Service were people that had not passed the Jedi Trials but wanted to still work and stay in the temple.

She had wondered why Jazlyn had never decided she was done with cleaning and wanted to do other things. That she had never even brought it up. That she always avoided the subject. She had suspicions of course, but now they were confirmed.

"Are you still worried about that vision?" Kera asked softly, "Is that why you never went back with everyone?"

"Well, yes and the other reasons." Jazlyn replied shortly, "Come on. We don't want to be late."

Jazlyn ran out of her room and Kera followed. They met up with Luke and Master Ember Arno who was a Togruta with purple skin and white and blue striped montrals.

"Hello Masters, we are here." Jazlyn said. They nodded back in greeting. They got onto the ship, a T-1 shuttle, and Kera went to the pilot seat, while Master Ember took up the co-pilot seat.

"You're going to pilot?!" Jazlyn exclaimed with surprise.

"Yes I am." Kera smiled. "Do you know how to pilot?"

"No."

"Well, when we get back, I'm going to teach you, but for the moment watch me carefully."

"Ok!"

Kera turned her attention to the ship. Under her hands the shuttle took off and went to hyperspace. Soon Kera brought them out of hyperspace. Jazlyn stared at the icy white planet before them. Kera landed the ship near a small hut where the Jedi were going to stay during the mission. They took their supplies inside.

Once everything was ready Jazlyn said, "We'll look out for the meteor." Luke nodded and she and Kera went outside.

"It's cold here." Jazlyn commented.

"Yeah, it is. How about we walk around a bit. It'll help us keep warm." Kera said.

"Sure." Jazlyn agreed with a shiver. They began to walk around chatting about random things. Suddenly the wind began to blow fast and hard, and snow fell around them.

"It's a storm!" Jazlyn yelled over the wind.

"Let's get back to the base!" Kera shouted back. Jazlyn looked up and saw a glowing thing falling and coming straight to where they were.

"Kera! Get back!" Jazlyn shouted. She ran at her but did not get there in time. A glowing ball smashed to the ground right next to her and the impact pushed them both back. Jazlyn hit the ground hard, and everything went black.

Kera got up from the snowy ground and looked around her. She saw Jazlyn on the ground next to her.

"Jazlyn! Please wake up! You can't stay like this! You'll freeze!" Kera shouted with worry. Jazlyn made no response. Kera got up and with some difficulty dragged her friend back to the base.

"Masters! Please help! It's Jazlyn!" Kera yelled. Luke helped Kera get her inside. Ember began examining her while the others watched anxiously. After a moment Ember looked up at Luke with a sorrowful expression.

"There's nothing I can do..." Master Ember said softly. Luke closed his eyes sadly, but Kera's reaction was far more emotional.

"No! Please! You must help her!" Kera said frantically. She fell to her knees next to her friend and began to cry, holding her. "Please wake up..."

Through her blurred vision, Kera noticed there was a light blue glow coming closer. She looked up and saw a shining rock float by the Masters. The rock stopped over Jazlyn and glowed brightly. Kera moved back as the rock disintegrated and what was left was iridescent particles. The particles fell gently like snow onto the girl and disappeared. Jazlyn's hands glowed for a brief second. The melting snow around her turned into ice and suddenly she opened her eyes.

"What in the galaxy happened?" Jazlyn asked. Kera didn't say anything, but she threw her arms around her friend and hugged her.

"That meteor fell, didn't it?" Jazlyn asked. Kera nodded.

"Do we have it?" Kera nodded again.

"Ok good!" Jazlyn smiled, hugging Kera back.

When they got back to the temple Luke told Kera to go to his office.

"I'm here Master. What did you want to talk to me about?" Kera said.

"You were there. What happened?" Luke asked.

"The storm started and then the meteor fell near us except it was closer to Jazlyn and we were both knocked out. When I came to, I saw Jazlyn was still unconscious and I brought her to you guys. You saw what happened next."

"Do you think that rock was the meteor?"

"I think so." Kera thought deeply. She wanted to know what the meteor had done and what it was. She wanted to understand what had happened to her friend.

"Master Luke, Allow me to investigate this. I'll figure this out." Kera said. Luke looked thoughtfully at her, then he nodded.

"Thank you Master." Kera said.
